1. Going to give it a couple of weeks and if it's still not sold then I'll just courier it to Glasgow and keep it.

3. Right guys, I'm going to be back in Surrey for a few days in two weeks time. So if anybody would be interested in Ampeg goodness, now is the time to let me know! I can courier this head no problem, or alternatively you can collect from Surrey KT17 (M25 J9).
4. Southampton Guildhall has terrible acoustics. And that's coming from experience.
5. What about the Aguilar Tonehammer? Similiar price point. Any opinions?
6. Of course I missed it didn't I.. Of course I did..
7. The second one. There's no need to di a di. Providing the output on the amp head you're using is a DI / Balanced Output and not just a jack connection, then it's fine on it's own.
8.
http://www.thomann.d...nado_jazzbl.htm
Buy that and you'll be looking to upgrade asap. It's good for absolute beginners but nothing beyond that. Buy second hand, buy second hand, buy second hand! Ideally a Pearl Export, or Yamaha Stage Custom.
9. Well I've now moved, but if anyone is interested, collection would be possible from my parent's house in KT17.
10. I recently moved to Glasgow from London. Have been drumming for 13 years, playing bass for 3. Much better and prefer drums, but competent on the 4 stringer too. Love music like Deftones, 36CF, Parkway Drive, Rammstein, Reuben, Glassjaw, Monuments, Tesseract, Periphery. Have full kit (albeit still down in London), but I can bring up what's needed. Aged 20. Happy to chip in towards practice room hire etc.
11. Toyota Hilux with a cover on the bed. Sorted? Perfect for all those festival fields too!
12. As it's a Roland product give the Roland rep in store at GuitarGuitar London either a visit or a call and he'll try and help you out. His name is Chris.
13. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
14. Yamaha stands gone. Everything else still available!
15. So only about a year after I spoke about doing it, I'm actually doing it. Moving to Glasgow that is! So I need to get rid of a lot of kit (most of which can already be found on eBay, but I thought I'd try on here first with the bass kit!) This head is fully functioning and fully sounding awesome. It it missing three of the knobs covers on the front, if it bothers you replacements can be bought cheaply online (although I quite liked the look without!). It comes with a FULL flightcase (Lid/Tray style). Looking to sell for cash money only. The one exception being a swap with a Aguilar Tonehammer. Collection would be the easiest thing for me (KT17 Surrey), alternatively I can post. Price gents is a very agreeable £350. Price drop to £320.
16. Talking of drums, here's mine complete with the new cymbals
17. Sound to light would be uneditable. It'd be all or nothing basically. What's he's referencing is that you can pre-program a lighting board to just go through a series of presets. So you can set some kind of show suitable for your style, and just press a button at the beginning of a song. It wouldn't be sound-to-light though.
18. Sound to light with normal fixtures just changes the colour (most of the time), with moving heads it'll do that, but will in addition vary the gobo (light pattern), and the direction of travel. If you want to get an idea of what it looks like, take a trip to a local nightclub as they almost always use sound to light on everything. It works for constant upbeat music but for music that varies, or is slower in pace, it can be a bit hit and miss as there isn't a 'subtle' option on sound-to-light. With normal lights it'd be alright as they'd just stay on the same colour, but here you'd be left with lights zipping around, spinning and what not. Think cheesy school disco. So all in all, it depends what type of music you play, as to whether sound-to-light moving fixtures would look good or not. As for the various makes and models, they will all do exactly the same thing. All that changes with price is how well they do it. You'll notice with cheaper models that they can be quite shaky, and that the colour/gobo change is noticable (you see the thing moving out the way). The motors will be slower, and the output not as bright. So, what kind of music is it, and what's your budget?
19. I do indeed. Any specific questions or shall I wall of text you?
20. I have the 350H, and it's not as loud as I'd like, but it's definitely loud enough. Would recommend using it in a 4 ohm setup only though so that you get the full output.
21. Without a doubt, buy second hand. Take a look on ebay around the £500 pound mark for something including cymbals. Look for Pearl, Tama, Premier, Yamaha, Mapex, Sonor, Gretsch, PDP, or ddrum. And for cymbals, Zildjian, Sabian, Meinl, Paiste, or believe it or not; Stagg. Something like this would be perfect: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3a7a87a9b4 or this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Premier-Drum-Set-Sabian-Cymbals-Muffling-Pads-and-8-Drum-Sticks-/150913740984?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Drums_Percussions_MJ&hash=item232328f0b8 Look at those, top level drum manufacturer, not just some cheapo brand (CB or similiar), and you get a set of named cymbals! All for a very agreeable price! On which note, all of the major cymbal manufacturers make budget ranges. However they're made to be budget and as such they will intentionally make them to not be as good as their professional ranges. Stagg cymbals come in at the same price as the big label budget ranges, but they're made to proper levels. The long and short of it, is that if you're wanting cheap cymbals, go Stagg (Ideally their DH range), rather than getting a budget zildjian or sabian set.
