  1. I've been on one bass since last July.

At the beginning of last year I noticed a bit of arthritis creeping into my fingers and was considering giving up. Someone suggested I try a medium scale bass and so to test the theory I bought an Ibanez Mezzo 5 string. Total game changer and as a result 2 x ACG's, 3 x Bass Collections, a Bacchus and a VM Squier were sold.

So I'm now playing the Mezzo, and loving it, exclusively as there ain't owt else.

IMO that's a bit of a cop-out. I don't drive either, but have never had any problem walking 2 miles into town (here in Nottingham) and going to one of the Bicycle shops and picking up a bike box, sometimes I'll even walk back carrying it rather than catching the bus. Bike boxes are much better than the typical guitar box for strength and rigidity and overall protection of the contents. They do need cutting down to size, but you can use the surplus material as additional packaging and bracing.

For me getting a suitable box for sending the instrument is an essential part of the selling process.

I know what you are saying but it's the sellers perogative and I don't know his personal circumstances.

  4. A big ask by wonder if anyone can help me get a bass from Bristol.

Firstly it's not an expensive one, so many and van is out.

Secondly the seller doesn't have a box and doesn't drive, so a trip to PMT to try and blah a box is out.

Does anyone in Bristol have a suitable box they could drop round so he can package up for a courier? It could be a guitar sized box and it can be packaged neck off.

Failing that does anyone travel to Bristol from the North? I am looking to get it to South Manchester or as near as.

  5. The Yoga EM268 is aUnidirectional Stereo Electret Microphone. It is powered by an AA battery in the built in compartment unscrewed in the handle. Add an external stereo recording capability to your iphone/Zoom Recorder etc. connection by 3.5mm stereo jack. Locking screwed connector at microphone end of 3 Metre Microphone Cable. Comes in original box.

I bought this to use with my video camera but have never used it.

  6. I was after some tort vinyl wrap some years ago. I have a friend who is in the vinyl business. He does the window sticky stuff for the likes of Tesco. He also does printed vinyl drum heads, he's a drummer as well, and basically anything involving vinyl.

I asked about tort vinyl and he couldn't source any from anywhere. He is able to print a tort design IF a decent hi-res image can be provided. We failed on that as well. Couldn't get something sufficiently hi-res.

  7. Brand new Neewer NW-202 two button footswitch.

Two latching buttons and compatible with Ashdown Rootmaster and any other amps that function in the same way.

I bought it to use with my Rootmaster, which I've now sold, and never got a chance to use it other than testing that it does work.

It came with an led for each switch and having checked with Dave Green at Ashdown these had to be disconnected. Unfortunately when doing this they fell out and appear to have got lost. The minute holes are covered with a self adhesive plug and are barely noticeable.IMG_20230314_121617343.thumb.jpg.643165b98c3fe0d5b03057522f40e662.jpg
