  1. "I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it alright."
  2. Try a Sire, I have a V7 I bought a while back to see what they were like. Mine's a little weighty, but as far as a Jazz on steroids, it does it.
  3. Exactly. As Danny Thompson said; "You can be as clever as you like but if it doesn't swing, forget it. They had it, quite often.
  4. It's a classic. From "Press The Boogie Button" to "We're going to Spain", the only thing missing is "Donald, Where's Your Troosers."
  5. I must say, I loved Nevermind at the time, I thought it was finally the death of hair metal. A triumph of substance over style, for a change.
  6. Perhaps the Hokey Cokey really is what it's all about.
  7. I would think you facetious if I knew what it meant, I've leaned from the best of them:
  8. Rarely is the question asked: Is our bassists learning?
  9. The only beef I've had with Level 42 not being on the level is that time I had to return a misplaying copy of "Guaranteed", only to find that it certainly wasn't guaranteed. I could not get an exchange nor a refund. Then I realised the true colours of this situation, I'd be stuck with this coaster forever now.
  10. I have been transfixed by this thread. There's something about it.
  11. The sun hasn't gone down on Macari's quite yet, they have a shop in West Sussex. Keeping it running in the family.
  12. So Macari's won't have a physical presence in Denmark St anymore. It's over.
  13. I tried a Spector 5 in 1998 at the Wembley Music Fair. As I was playing it the G kept slipping off the board, there's not enough room on that board for me. I don't know if things have changed. I don't mind precise fretting but that spacing felt too unforgiving. I like different right-hand techniques, I like to have the space for that.
  14. Alan Titchmarsh? I always thought he was a bit of a gangster.
  15. It is well known that Santana used to moonlight back in the day, to get out of contractual obligations. They used to go out under the non de plume of "Level 41."
