  1. I'm putting both my TKS S112s for sale because i have seen something come up, that suits my circumstances better.

I only ever use one on gigs now, as onstage monitoring, so the second never gets used. Just seems a waste having it sitting in my garage, so i am going to move them on to buy a combo. If the combo i have seen sells, i'll remove these.

They sound brilliant. I'm guessing there's a bump in their mid-range as i've always thought they have amazing clarity in the mix. Lightweight with a very focused sound. I play in a band that really plays through a lot of genres, and they have performed admirably at each. I've always thought they went extremely loud for a small package. I am very happy with them, and wont be upset if they don't sell, as i am more than happy with the sound from them!! One thing which may bother some people is they don't have a tweeter. When i tried them, i didn't think they needed it as they still were able to go bright enough for my needs!! YMMV

Condition wise i'd say 9.5/10. I would give them a 10, as i can't see a single mark or blemish on them, but if i say 10, im sure there'll be a tiny scratch somewhere i've missed!! They're in mint condition. Feels very sturdy and well-made. Metal corner protectors.

Anything else you'd like to know, just ask. I'd recommend a trial so you can hear them. They really are amazing cabs.

I can post them, but would prefer collection to ensure they stay in the condition they are!!

Not interested in trades, unless for an AER combo or a Alain Caron 121 lite.

    Thanks for looking

Frankly speaking, I don't think there's that much difference between them. For example, if you replace a founding member of Band A, 20 years after they've formed and written the majority of their popular material, aren't you essentially playing covers every night?

Big grey area. We're all working towards the same goal (entertaining our audiences) and I think that's the most important thing to remember in any case.

    Depends if it's jazz

  3. As crazy and unbelievable as this may sound, the songs i write aren't actually as good or interesting as Stevie Wonders or Jamiroquai's or Bruno Mars etc .

So i actually do get more enjoyment from playing covers!

I have played originals for a while too. Guess what....enjoyed that too.

It must be something to do with the fact I enjoy playing bass in a band with my mates?

    Mental.

Why does everything have to be black or white? Cant we have a bit of grey?

    It's in my sig: :hi:

It's a Barefaced One10 & GK MB500. Fits in a cajon bag and sits on a standard speaker stand so I can have it at ear level. I have the cab, the amp and my wireless receiver attached using ultra high strength tape.

Don't know if it's the new site, but your sig doesn't show?

Sounds like a good set up though ;)

  5. I use a LMII. Started with a LMII about 7 years ago. Went on the 'ole merry go round of equipment, and realised about 3 years ago that i was just chasing the MarkBass sound id previously had. So bought a LMII for ridiculously cheap, and have used it happily ever since.

It is a warm, sound when set flat, but you can make it a bit more aggressive and percussive with the filters without any problem. I also have a Sansamp that pairs beautifully with it.

That said, if i was in a band like yours (I'm not, i play motown/soul/disco), i'd probably opt for the GK.

Lots of good gear out there right now. Just find the flavor that suits you

I agree with the sentiment but BC would be a very boring place if people didn't try and justify their opinions, that's not to say we should start insulting each other, IMO (see what I did there :-) )that just polarises opinions.

I'm all for discussion, and sharing opinions/ideas. Didn't mean that.

It's the people that seem to be getting upset and worked up because someones opinions doesn't match theirs.

  7. It's funny to me how people are getting so worked up because of other peoples opinions.

Chill out! We don't all like the same thing. The world goes on!

If someone else dislikes something you do like, it shouldn't diminish your enjoyment.

There is no "right" or "wrong", just opinion.

For me it's Nirvana. Blue will understand what I mean when I say it's because I was there at the time it all happened. I've loved bands more since, but they will always be the ones that had the biggest impact.

    Yours?

    Same

I listened to Nevermind and Bleach on repeat for about 4 months.

Green day(with Dookie) and Blink 182 (Dude ranch) close runner ups!
