I use my EVO II 500 pretty much flat with my passive USA Jazz bass through my 4x8 & 1x15 and i get a bright but full, growly sound. The only slight EQ I use on the amp is to compensate for the room/stage, but its never anything extreme. Si

Also, most hardcore 'collectors' wouldn't buy something that was too 'mojo'd, or not all original, so again....lotsa money There are of course exceptions to the rule, musicians who have done exceptionally well in their career who can afoord such things, but they are few and far between! I was looking at WoT's Jazz, but couldn't shift my upright in time, gutted indeed! Si

I use whichever finger or part of my hand that does the job best for that note.... .....so yes....i do use my little finger In fact even more so then other people perhaps, as when i'm in 'Groove' mode, I use my Index and Little finger to fret and use my ring and middle to mute the strings. When the playing is busier or more 'scale' based, then it's one finger per fret. There always exceptions to the rule, but thats my general rule of thumb........no pun intended Si

How are you finding the DiMarzio steve? I have the same p'up in my white Precision project! I really like it, growly but a lot hotter! I love the grain in that body, and the custom pickguard is growing on me! Si
