Been playing my Lakland 55-01 almost exclusively over the last couple of weeks (through necessity for an upcoming gig), and it's just brilliant. These hit so far above their weight for the money!!
I must admit that all the non-US Laklands I have ever tried played like butter and sounded great and to me were almost on par with their US built counterpart, there really is not much in it and the US built instruments are awesome.
I gigged my 55-02 on Saturday, after only using my Jazz for the past few months. Plenty of compliments from punters and band mates. Loved it, and looking forward to giving it some more use.
