  1. I gave my Ashdown 8x10 and Laney 4x10 to a local small venue for their in house backline. Have you tried any near you?
  2. back in the day their live shows were an experience apparently. Despite buying tickets for several shows over the years I never got to see them headline their own show as something always happened... Still guts me today to think about it... Live in Newport, south Wales in 1987
  3. Butthole Surfers are great. Well worth looking into, erm... as it were.
  4. nice to see some Buttholes being posted... ... wait, that came out wrong!
  5. I'd hope modern gear is more advanced than something from the 80s
  6. Some proggy metal. Not listened to Opeth for quite a while:
  7. My Roland R-8 from the 80s wasn't a drum machine, it was a "Human Rhythm Composer". It had parameters for adding a degree of randomness to velocity, pitch decay, timing and a couple of others. I'd hope modern machines can do this. I used to midi it to a sampler for triggering other sounds.
  8. yeah. I’ve seen them live a few times too. In fact I’ve seen more of Tad Doyle than I’d like to have, when he danced across the stage, during a Soundgarden set, in just his Y fronts.
  9. I first saw AiC supporting Megadeth back in the early 90s. They were immense, I could have left before Megadeth came on and still been really happy. Originally I thought it was an odd mix, but they really fitted in. I've been listening to a lot of AiC in recent weeks, plus the Mad Season album. That then led on to Brad, Green River, Temple of the Dog...
  10. Under the age of 10 I was mainly exposed to Bruce Springsteen, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell. My own taste in music started by seeing Kate Bush's Withering Heights on ToTP and the Two Tone scene growing in Coventry My elder sister started getting me into The Damned, The Cure and Dead Kennedys. Then Iron Maiden came along. Teen years were mainly Thrash, Goth, US punk and Grebo.
  11. Last couple of days I've been back in the late 80s:
  12. I've been playing Mad Season - Above a lot this week:
  13. would it be possible to get the schematic for this please?
  14. I see they really love Sid the Sloth from Ice Age
  15. Blimey. I was thinking it was just everyone checking out the dodginess of the QC...
  16. But is that Sales popularity or just link clicks and searches popularity?
