Just seen this in a thread on TB, looks like Thomann let slip that there is a new version of the Cali76 Compact Bass on the way. Fixes all the (very minor) gripes I have with mine, being its a bit too tall and the metering was rather basic. I'd imagine it will sound the same though.

Interesting, seems several places reporting on this thought it was an 810 as well. Hoping there will be demos soon!
-
Seems ampeg has released a lightweight 810. Interested to hear this given its ported and has a HF driver. https://www.notreble.com/buzz/2024/04/02/ampeg-announces-the-venture-vb-88-bass-cabinet/

Played the Rising Sun in Reading last week and got to use my SVT-CL. What a sound! -
Just picked up these cabs today so Mesa is definitely available in the uk now!
-
Mesa are finally shipping to the uk again, so I traded my aguilar 112s for a pair of subway 210s. Sounding incredible! Thanks to the Mesa/Gibson team for the hard work getting them back to us!
-
Blimey! Good job I got mine when I did! I just pre-ordered a 210 and 115 from there, need to move on my Aguilar kit first!

Played the Purple Turtle in Reading on Monday, used a pair of SL112 cabs and a Mesa TT800 head. Sounded huge! -
https://www.kemper-amps.com/products/uk/profiler-player.html Curious how this stacks up against the HX Stomp/XL. Not a bad price at £499 either.

I'll come - Will bring My Musicman stingry basses, Fender Mustang bass, Pedalboard and my Mesa TT800 + SL112 cabs

MXR M87 Bass Compressor Repair - May Be Of Use To Someone?
bassace97 replied to Johnny Wishbone's topic in Effects
Despite all the reports of the failures it's a very small number that actually fail - there are plenty of these in touring use that take a lot of abuse that are over 10 years old now and absolutely fine - If you got one new now I think you'd be fine. -
MXR M87 Bass Compressor Repair - May Be Of Use To Someone?
bassace97 replied to Johnny Wishbone's topic in Effects
So it seems to me there are two separate common problems with these compressors: 1. Failed output TLC2262 Op amp. Symptoms are the pedal looks to be working correctly with the gain reduction LEDs working, but with no output when the pedal is engaged. fixed just by swapping the output op amp normally, tricky without SMD soldering equipment but doable. 2. Failed ratio switch. All gain LEDs stay on permanently instead of going off after a few seconds of turning on. Fixed by replacing the ratio switch as mentioned by @fretbass. -
MXR M87 Bass Compressor Repair - May Be Of Use To Someone?

Thanks for this! Just did this fix myself - bought one off ebay and swapped the chip for another TLC2262. A question for those that went the AD822 route: Did this different chip make any difference to the sound or characteristics of the compressor? -
Any update on this ?
-
Excellent amps, love mine! Where did you get it from? Hoping to pick up a matching 210 and 115 to complete my rig!

How do you find the Rm800 II ? considering getting one as a backup head. -
Hadnt considered white, bet that looks stunning! This one is a 2008 Made in Japan, and from what I can see these all came with a black Fender hardcase. A fellow basschatter actually offered me a set of Labella Mustang strings, can't wait for them to arrive. I'm considering swapping the stock pickup for a Nordstrand NM4, DO you have any experience with these?

Tonights practice setup - used a Fender Mustang Bass on its debut with the band - cab wasn’t that great imo -
Liking it so far. Really nice warm round sound. Considering putting flats on it. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

What is the tone like compared to an SVT? I see these come up from time to time and I've always been intrigued by them. Don't see many big bands using these, the only one I can think of off the top of my head is Doves. -
