Another +1 for the Sansamp. Really helps you to cut through. I used mine in competition with a Bogner Uberschalle and Diezel Herbert and was able to make myself heard real nice through the mix.

Funny........I've used a powerful Warwick rig before and found it wasn't as loud as I'd thought it should be, whereas my LMKIII and GS112 are more than happy at band practice!

I need to hear one really. I'm not fussed about the fanned fret thing, I can't recall seeing one comment from someone who [i]couldn't[/i] get used to fanned frets, but I do care about how they sound and how well they are built. I might go on a geeky day out this weekend

Pretty much home recordings. Hasn't been mastered, but it's been such a (long and sometimes boring) faff putting these tracks together that we aren't too fussed about it!

Ooooh cheers for that. I read a review that gave the Combustion pretty good praise, but it wasn't written by someone who filled me with massive amounts of confidence with some of the content of said review!

I've only just come across these slightly cheaper models which Dingwall produce and I've been thinking about getting a fanned fret bass for a while. With the price these are set at, I feel it may well be worth a punt having never played a fanned fret bass before, but if anyone here has played one I'm more interested to know what the build quality and sound are like. Is there a noticeable drop in quality from the standard Canadian built basses?

I did alright despite the fact I was always the one too drunk to be able to talk about an hour after playing. But by the same measure I occasionally did pretty badly too. Stay away from alcohol kids.

I know the place never actually been for a drink in there though!
