2. Kevin has bought 2 pedals off me. Easy transactions. Paid quick and had great comms. Cheers buddy! Shep
3.
I want an MP-201 (will get one one day), but if you haven't the funds for one, then you definitely need to get an expression pedal of some sort (I use a Moog EP-2 & hopefully getting another until I can afford the MP-201).
Keep your eyes on eBay and pick one up soon. They've just been discontinued so prices will go up, then they'll vanish
4.
I want the phaser as I believe it's the one used in 'Luminance' by Cave In. Love the phaser sound in that song.
Yup - I believe it was the Moog Phaser. I love mine. Its fantastic with bass. In 12-stage mode with fuzz in front of it... mind blowing!
5.
sweet man. i need to post my board up a on here as its changed a bit. andy
Yeah dude, get on it!
6. Yeah. 45"x21" with a 'bridge' running the whole length. Going to rock. All based on a specific layout that's far more ergonomic than my current one.
7. Think me & mcgraham are still coming with Roscoe and Wood & Tronics goodness. All good. Looking forward to meeting folks! Shep
8. I've had this before and it was the cable! Are you using proper speaker cable or regular jack/instrument cable? Not saying that IS the issue - but something I have experienced.
9. The Whammy DT isn't too much heavier than the Whammy IV. Feels like they have saved a little weight on the material used. It's bigger, but only a tad heavier. EDIT - Looking at the specs on the Digitech website shows they weigh exactly the same as each other! Looking forward to getting my custom board, the layout makes so much more sense to my style of playing. Only thing still to be added is the new MoogerFooger MF-108 Cluster Flux.
10.
Oooohhh thats a bit special
It is that! Just spent 8 hours in rehearsal with it! Amazing. Still blown away by the tone
11.
WMD Geiger Counter I believe.
Correct! I used to have it's little brother (The 'Civillian Issue') on the board. I recently sold it and bought this. It's a super high gain fuzz and bit crusher with 224 selectable wave forms plus control over the sample rate and bit depth. It's monster and does the job of a few pedals I used to use.
12. Ha. Yes it's the new Whammy. It's polyphonic so it tracks bass chords on 3 or 4 strings up over 2 octaves - that alone makes it worth while. It's also 9v and DC so no noisy AC adapter in my chain. It has a number of presets the old one doesn't on the Whammy side which I've played with - but the drop tune side is great and works better than most Detuning pedals i've tried. Being able to go up a 5th with perfect tracking at the press of a button or even momentarily is pretty useful. Despite 3 retailers telling me that it no longer cuts top end like the old one used to, it unfortunately still does. It's also bloody huge. True Bypass helps though as the old one sucked a little tone when off as well. It's a good improvement on the Whammy IV, but if I'm honest - most people won't use the extra features.
13. Right, I've sold off a fair few pedals to reduce my setup. I've gone from 2 Tourman boards to 1 and a half... However, I have an order in for a custom board I've been discussing for a few weeks. It's a 2-tier board just slightly bigger than a single Diago Tourman with a few tweaks for my set up. So until that's done in a month or so, here's what I'm working with... Right board - Left board - Full setup - And as I was there, our rehearsal space set up, all purchased 2nd hand through work (I'm a Pawn Broker for silly money!!!): MacBook, 2 Skytech powered PA speakers, Behringer Xenyx1204FX desk -
14. Digitech Whammy IV SOLD PENDING PAYMENT.
15. Malekko B:assMaster?? http://malekkoheavyindustry.com/index.php/...als/b-assmaster Knobs are on the right though and it's a tad larger than a BBE pedal I think...
16. Amusing read! Fingers crossed I'll have my Cluster Flux next week
17. Title and first posted edited to remove swear words. Please watch the language. From the posts above I gather that I'm too late to witness the original title (which is good as that would of earnt you a warning!). Hope the pot gets sorted. Other folks breaking your stuff is about as frustrating as it gets!
18.
Believe it or not, the Bass Murf is happy to run off a daisychain & has no noise at all! I was hugely surprised. It does need to draw 300mA though.
And reverse polarity!
19. There's lots of options, but a Johnny Shred freak/Diago should be fine for the size of your board. Although if you go for the Moog then you'll need to use it's own power supply or some special adapters...
20. So... You going to swallow that fact you need a big awesome pedal on your board?
21. At least the move and date change is official now. The price hike I assume is to pay for Marcus, but blimey that's a steep overnight leap!! Not convinced it's going to work too well at this nee venue unless they have a secret 2nd stge an venue room we don't know about...
22. Bargain. Want! Must resist. If I didnt have the new Cluster flux to pay for!
23.
But there's no ROOOOMMMMM Hmmmm, are you using a Murf instead of your Slicer now then? Si
Just sit I next to your board. It's non slip rubber on the bottom and robust enough! I'm not using a murf, but am using the LFO section of my MO-201 to drive my various pedals with slow sample + hold waves to create similar effects! I am planning to add a Midi Murf one day though. I'm a big fan of the Slicer though. I'm just determined to reduce my setup. Shep
24.
I feel you might be right Hmmm.... could I cut one in half? Si
Yes - but it wouldn't work, and if it did you'd of cut the tap tempo off! Man up and buy a Slicer or Murf!
25.
Shep, the Gyroscope seems to have a tap?! http://www.copilotfx.com/tapgyro.html Si
Ah... It seems there are 2 versions! I'd never seen the 2 footswitch version before. That version also has an extra knob on it. The version I've seen lots of demos of does not have the tap. Still not as useful as something that has clearly defined presets though...
