12.
Live At The Aladdin is my second fave vid after Y2K. Prince may be a wee bit egotistical and unfashionable but he's still one hell of a musician.
not sure about unfashionable, i think Prince dances to the beat of his own drum... times change but he will always be unique
13. no idea.. doesnt mean its not so... love the lack of low end bass in most of it.. then the bass..
14. dont think ive posted these? my memory is quite bad mind.. im nearly coming to the end, of properly listening to everything hes done in his recording side.... i think the man is about as much of a musical genius as a guy can be... maybe not the classics, but times have changed apart from Stevie, hes the last of the super star geniuses.. .. the best thing that happened for me was Prince asking Maceo to play for him....... on another thought i think money is slowly suffocating music... check these out.. i love the way the organ fills out the sound.. then cuts it off for the space.. damn..... Smokin suff from 'Work'.... 15.
My honest opinion is that I didn't prefer them to the American Standard series. Didn't see the need for an active preamp on a classic design, to this date I still don't see the point. Like fitting a spoiler on a Bentley... or go fast stripes on a Jaguar.. if you see what I mean.
Poss because they like the classic design look, but prefer a preamp sound.. .... The American standards are nice though..
16. oh, never seen that before... i dont know alot about this sort of stuff.. not sure how that would affect the audio quality of volume?
17. Looks like my firewire interface is up the swanny.... is there anyway of connecting my bass to my Mac without an interface.. cheers
18. my sister recommended me this.... good girl.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcUmIRw0N5w
19. hes amazing Nile Rodgers... his music and vision of how groove should be, is one of the best... i love a few guitar solos, and this one of them for sure... beautiful playing.... i hope he is well again..

22. my god are we getting into the land of Talkbass???
23.
Francis is excellent. I must admit my favourite Incognito bassist is Julian Crampton. I saw JC live in a small venue in Kendal this time last year and he was ridiculous. This track N.O.T sounds great though. Anyone know if he plays his TRB basses live or is he using jazz basses?
yes im a big fan of julian Crampton... was watching a band called Down to the Bone at the jazz cafe, he was laying down some serious bass grooves.. his slap solo was fantastic.... met him back stage. lovely man.. alot of the time Francis plays Atelier Z jazz basses...
24. i played a Farida in Cardiff, and a US Fender Jazz... if i had to play one recording or live i would take the Farida.... had awsome single coil punch and aggression... i would rather have the Fender for the scratch though
25. i think without his style of playing and growly jazz bass tone, it wouldnt sound half as good..
