1. If only this was a Stealth version, I'd be all over it!
2. For cab covers Roqsolid take some beating. Excellent quality product and great service.
3. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
4. There's someone looking for one of these in the Items wanted section.
5. The sudden GAS attack I developed for a Musicman Bongo 4 HS Stealth is showing no signs of going away!
6.
think i might look at upgrading the wheels or maybe grab a flightcase for it andy
Definitely worth it, on the plus side you can get good quality castors fairly cheaply.
7. The wheels are probably the weakest part of the Mag, I've got one and 2 of my friends have owned them, all suffered with the wheels falling apart. I left mine at our rehearsal space and was gonna order some new ones, then someone decided to move it by tilting it sideways and dragging it, the result being the castor bracket went through the bottom of the cab, so it's now sat being unused and unloved with f***ed castors and a hole in the bottom!
8. If I were you I'd be PM'ing Conan and seeing if you can get that NS2000 for £100. I've had one for 14 years and although it's mainly a back up to my Warwick these days, I can't see me ever parting with it. Neck through construction, excellent build quality, 2 EMG Hz humbuckers, If you can get that for £100 I'd take their arm off, unbeatable value (unless it's a complete basket case of course)
9.
these are epic, and a great price too http://basschat.co.uk/topic/225953-mesa-boogie-powerhouse-4x10-15-for-sale-l495-price-drop/ from your list i would be on the lookout for an SWR but the mesa is easily as good if not better.
If I was in the market for a big cab, I'd be on that Mesa in a shot. I know it's not an 810 but they are immense!
10.
The RH750 solves the problem with the top end btw for anyone that didn't know!
Think I'm going to have to try a 750, I like the sound of the 450 and the feature set is great but I do miss some top end sizzle.
11.
I bought a CN212 last weekend... It's fantastic. Best thing i've ever bought. Only 20kgs(ish) and an incredible sound. Highly recommended.
Berg cabs ooze class. My BIg Twin 2 is an amazing cab, but if I ever fancied a change Berg would be top of my list.
12.
[sub]Check out my Mesa Boogie Powerhouse 4x10+15 in the for sale section.[/sub]
+1 Awesome cab!
13. I was in your position too, wanting lighter cabs. I had reservations about it being enough, my last few cab set-ups have been Trace 1x15+4x10, Ashdown 8x10, Warwick WCA 115+ either 411 or 211. This thing handles everything I throw at it with ease, no need for back breaking cabs for me anymore! I've also heard great things about the Bergantino CN212, I'm sure there's a few users of those on here who can give you the lowdown on those.
14. I've never used a GK head through it (was hoping to get use of a 1001rb over xmas but didn't happen) but if you ever venture up to Bristol from Devon you're welcome to try out my Barefaced Big Twin 2. It sounds massive, the build quality seems fine to me (I've only had this BF cab so I can't comment on issues others have had with previous gen cabs), can handle huge amounts of power but can be carried with one hand if you want to.
15. NV610's are amazing cabs. Beautifully built and sound fantastic. If I was in the market for a big cab at the moment, I'd be seriously tempted by that Mesa Boogie Powerhouse in the FS section though!
16. There's a used LMT in the for sale section now!
17.
My local repair tech is extremely experienced and has seen every brand of amp on his bench at some stage. He even manufactures his own valve amps. He is very complimentary of other brands particularly Ampeg and Trace from a repair point of view and Genz Benz for using good power modules. However he advised me to steer clear of TC Electronic amps, so thats one brand I wouldnt go for.
Did he say why? Just curious as I use an RH450. Mine's been 100% reliable so far, but it's always handy gaining knowledge from people in the know.
18. The contemporary jazz is pretty tempting at £329. As is the Aspiration Elite 5 at £399.
19. My wife wanted Pachelbel's Canon in D as her entrance music, I know we had Marvin Gaye's Let's get it on, but I can't remember if that was before ceremony or signing register, and we left to Everlong by Foo Fighters. Hope you have a great day, best piece of advice I received was, get everyone to take loads of pics/videos because the day flies by and you won't take half of it in,
20.
Drugs and hookers...
An excellent choice sir!! Add in Discreet's cowboy boots and we got ourselves a party!!
21. A MusicMan Bongo stealth. 6 months ago I would've laughed if you'd told me I'd be gassing for one, I hated the looks! Then I watched that video of the guy comparing Fender P, J, Bongo, Ray and a boutique fretless, and absolutely loved the sound of the Bongo.
22.
but thinking about I owned a warwick tube path 10.1 it made it through 30mins of rehearsal before it went pop! Sounded pretty good for the time it worked lol
Before I bought my Tubepath 5.1, everyone I spoke to about it told me under no circumstances buy the 10.1, they have zero reliability! Have no idea why though, the 5.1 never gave me any trouble at all.
23.
Rubbish quality picture but I finally found an excuse to use the full rig. It sounded utterly awesome I have to say.
Jesus Christ on a f**king bike, that must sound immense!!!
