This is horrible when people have to travel thousands of miles to find some sort of security. Huge pops and humming sometimes mean the big mains smoothing capacitors have become dried out or have broken connections from the mainboard or are shorting. Take it to a good amp technician because it could be dangerous if you don't know what its background is.

Hello bass brothers, I'm Steve from Hertfordshire, started playing late in life and am still learning, pretty much a living room player with a Yamaha TRB 1004 and 1005 and a nice little MarkBass 210 combo. Play mainly rock, metal and blues and sometimes slap very badly. Look forward to nattering with you all
