I never thought I'd let it go either, my Mrs & the kids are giving me earache over this one. My eldest has offered full asking price just to keep it in the family, he doesn't play! 🤣

Honest opinion - listen to them. Put it in a case and under the bed or in loft etc and forget you have it for a bit. Then one day you'll remember, get it out and be very glad you didn't sell it.

It also alleviates the earache from said family, which is worth way more than £1100.

New bass day coming soon 🤘🏻

Just went to check on it and it had gone - glad it was you ! Let us know how it is.

  3. The idea and motive behind this is absolutely great.

However I am an absolute bass slut and the thought of one bass to play (however good it is) fills me with terror.

I am down to 8 basses after selling one today, one is pending sold, another is still for sale. This will drag me down to a measly 6, which is a poor show but just about enough variety for my whims.

Stealthy! ThNks for the comments, given your experience I’ll probably not upgrade!

Needs a few rehearsal/gigs to be fully reviewed, but. I will admit I am fully bored of looking at the claret red of the B3n (had it about 5 years) and this looked so much better. I actually grabbed a B6 when they came out to try, and yes it has a better/bigger colour LCD, but I feel there are no differing sounds/effects available to the B2 Four. I also prefer a smaller footprint that can fit in the front pocket of  a gigbag, which this does fine.

It's actually a bit smaller than the B3n  top to bottom and definitely lighter (1.2kg vs 0.9kg)

  5. My Dad has one of their prototype Telecaster copies. Only looked at it quickly but it seems quite decent. That said, they seem to be more expensive than other cheap starter copies, and time will tell if they can compete with Harley Benton which are quite a bit cheaper.

Came today. Initially a bit confusing as very different interface to the B3n. However underneath that is it much the same and once you can navigate the UI quickly it's no issue (couple of hours). A few new sounds to the B3n and the Djent Preamp will be good for me. Overall not a necessary upgrade, but it was reasonably priced and has a lot better connectivity which will give me easier ways to record at home than the B3n.  Annoyingly there is an iOS app but not Android (maybe in time), so i'm only using the buttons for now.

I think it looks cool, it's sturdy and totally reminds me of an F-117A.

    Check out this comparison !

I can't believe there's now two L5500s within 5 miles of each other, I'm down the road in Lichfield! Particularly if there was so few of them made, I've heard conflicting estimates.

Thread revival time. I sold my blue swirl, don't particularly remember why but never mind.  A couple of days ago @The fasting showman put his L-5500 up for sale, pulled the trigger and picked it up yesterday. Only a 20 min drive too !

Came with original branded hardcase, a spare pickup (there was a 40J in the bridge position) and a few other bits. Spent the afternoon giving it a full service/clean and sounds bang on.

  8. I've got an import Dingwall and more recently an MTD Kingston Super 5, both are Far East made (South Korea and China) but are impeccable and flawless instruments. The quality of a bass I believe is nothing to do with what country it was made but the skills of the staff and how long they are permitted to spend on them. My belief is that there is an overlap of quality between mass produced and USA made stuff, and you have to get the top end import gear to compete with the USA low/mid range, but it will be much cheaper.
