1.
A valid point, and I'll add one of my own. It would also benefit all to read the rules & guidelines: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?act=SR&f=19
Is there something wrong with my post above that said:- "the guy is looking for £900" ?
  2. The seller sent me this pm:- du bist echt ne total arme wurst junge..unhöflich und dumm..wenn ich das hätte publik machen wollen , hätte ichd as getan du vollhonk Anyone speak German and able to translate this?
  3. 4. Why has bidding for this reached over £200:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Epiphone-Gibson-EB3-...%3A1%7C294%3A50 When you can get a new one for less than £200, with free delivery:- http://www.nevadamusic.co.uk/Used/sc1307.aspx Ok I can see it comes with a gigbag, but thats worth say £10? Madness
  5.
Well in that case I think its a decent price. I have seen them go for £550 but thats rare. If you want a ray I would snap it up! Steve EDIT: You did make it clear, I just didn't read it properly
Thanks Steve
  6.
Depends how keen you are to sell in my opinion. I have one the same but 3 band eq and we valued it at £700 as part of a trade. £600 could be reasonable if you want to get rid. Steve
Sorry maybe I did'nt make it clear - I am the potential buyer
  7. I've been offerred one of these with a case. It has a few dings, maple neck and the transition style bridge, 2 way pre-amp. I've been offerred it for £600.
  8.
One of these was very nearly my first 5 string bass. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FENDER-SQUIER-BASS-G...%3A1%7C294%3A50
Good job you did'nt get as this 5 string only has 4 strings - you' d have been disappointed by that missing B string no doubt!

  10.
Nice one - I think you got a great deal on it at the price it went for. If I'd had any money and a forgiving missus I'd have been bidding against you.
PM me when you're ready and I might be ready to sell
  11.
Is that the one that was on ebay last week? If so - good to see you got that stones sticker off it.
Thats the one
  12.
That looks nice, not sure about the headstock though. how does it sound?
Sounds very nice - woody edge to it - although the piezo is un-bufferred so its not very useable, but there is a modification that can be done to improve things. Yeah, the headstock is a bit thrash metal, but i kinda like it
  13. No PMT here, just a lovely Fender HMT in black. Lace Sensor magnetic pup and piezo in the bridge.
  14.
Ok i have pruned the thread. Official warnings have been given out to gareth and mntl73 Please refrain from diverting the purpose of the thread. Lysdexia is a very well respected member on the forum, and i hope it does not put him off future sales of his fine instruments and interesting sales techniques
I can see that mntl73 was out of order, but what did gareth do?

  19. donhills

    I'm off to NZ.

Don't want to be a party-pooper BUT I understood that the world wide recession/depression that has hit the UK and USA is now, after a lag period, hitting other countries such as Australia, NZ and South Africa. Only last week I was told the story of a heavily qualified master carpenter who 6 months ago had his arm bitten-off by the Australian's to go out and work there, but having put all the forms in some 6 weeks ago, they are now not interested. Hope it works out for you.
  20. Hi Is the body solid wood or is it veneered? Thanks
  21. How much does the fretless weigh please
