These are a lightly used set of Dunlop stainless steel flatwounds in medium scale, £30 posted to UK. The packaging has gone missing but on my micrometer they are 40-60-80-100 and the silks are black at both ends, They have been used on a Fender Mustang Bass and hence have two ‘bends’ because of the bridge itself and because of the through-body stringing. You can see this in the pic below. It's more obvious on the thinner strings. The strings should be fine on a Mustang bass, for which I recommend them, and might well be fine on some other medium scale bass. Amazon appears to be asking in excess of £70 for these! So how about £30 posted.?

SOLD For Sale £210. Free collection or post at cost. Hofner Club Bass, the Icon model, now fitted with Pyramid flatwound strings with the dark green silk, and a Hofner hard case. This bass is about five years old and has never left the house and rarely left its case. The Icons are the cheapest of the Hofner range and are made in China. The bass is fully hollow like a proper German Hofner, unlike the Contemporary series which has a centre block. On my luggage scales that results in a weight of 2.2 kgs or 4.85 lbs … ecstasy. At GAK the Icon Club Bass is £299 and the hard case is £117. The German made strings are £41 at Thomann. That’s a total of £457 and, except for the string upgrade, this is an as new bass. So, it can all be yours for less than half of the new price at £210 The scratch plate and its fittings are included. When I bought the bass, I intended to do quite a few upgrades but, of course, I never got around to it and then I found myself losing my fine motor skills to Parkinsonism. So, I have never even set it up and the protector under the floating bridge is still in place. However, despite being a low-priced bass it plays well – subject to the usual idiosyncrasies of a Hofner. If you were thinking of upgrades, then I would start with the tuners which, although they do work, are quite stiff. So, grab yourself a fun bass at a fun price.

For sale ... Price drop £70 posted Seymour Duncan Studio Bass compressor in very good but used condition, with a couple of minor chips on one edge that you can see in the picture. Complete with original cardboard box, user's guide booklet, and little red stickers for marking your favourite settings.

A few questions. Is this still available? If not please ignore the other questions. Is the finish satin not gloss? Is the neck also satin. Is the trussrod adjustment at the headstock not the neck heel? What strings are on it? What gigbag are you including? Thanks.
