1. Must be my mind playing tricks on me - felt like a the neck was more compact than a Stingray - must have heard that the CAs had smaller widths and so my brain made the assumption that's why I love it..... Been a few years since I've played a Stingray though, oops!
2. That's my sparkly bitch, Ray 34. Apparently there were only 150 made in this finish, I had no idea until it landed on my lap. God damn.
3. Ah sorry, my lady is a CA model, I didn't know there was a difference in neck profiles between the two (I knew the difference in electronics). And yes by classic I meant the real deal Stingray, the big ol' chunks they are.
4. I picked up a second hand Ray34, and as a fellow small handed man (I weep every night), I must confirm that the neck on these kids feels much more comfortable than the classic Stingray. Still weigh an elfin ton, though. That's my particular lady, picked her up for just over £400, as a nice but knock around bass. Found out recently that apparently there were only only 149 (or something stupid similar) made in this colour. A very rare, beautiful knock around bass. Great logic, aye? Bought a mexican P - bass (antigua remake) after that for similar cause, later find out there were apparently around 249 of them made. I give up.
5.
Hiya Sammy, glad you are enjoying the P (another one I shouldn't have sold ) As I remember the details at the time there were 250 of P and J made for the states and the same for the rest of the world. They sold out in a matter of months, yours is the last one to sell new on these shores as it was the last GAK had, nobody else had any left. Headofire, photos of the mushroom please!!!!!!!
Thank you, don't feel bad you sent her to a very loving home, she gets taken out for air and gets to see all the other basees Thanks for the info, wow I'm glad you got lucky and found her! (and then consequently sold her to myself)
6. A wonderful reply, thanks man no I wasn't suggesting locking her away, just maybe being a bit more careful as she was bought as a bass that I didn't mind taking to college everyday! 4 strings, p bass, it's just perfect to teach with!
7. Hello all, Just been trying to find out how many of these were actually made, obviously they were a re-run (MIM 2012) but they are discontinued again now. Any one in the bass world have any idea where I'd find out? Various forums say that only 250 were released, but there had to be more surely? They were a good price and she is the only p bass I've ever truly loved........it's more for curiosity really, I teach in a college and she's the bass I take with me everyday, if she's rarer than I think then I may try to be more careful! Very grateful for any help!
8. BUMP! Trade for a 4/5 string, it really is a lovely bass!
9. Reduced to £400, resembles more what I got her for (saw some on the bay going for £500, hence original price). Only interested in trade, no sale. Unless I crack and decide I need to cash.
10. That's one lovely photo shoot, reminds me of a top shelf kind of magazine....... fireplaces XL, you know the one? No? Beautiful bass, good luck with this!
11. *EDIT - Will now accept £400 cash sale, postage will be extra (think about £30), I very much want the musicman being sold on here!* Hello all! Got this lovely lady to shift, really can't get on with 6 strings so hopefully I can find her a home where she'll be loved! 35" Scale Thru Neck 24 Jumbo Frets 18v Active Electronics EMG DCs (upgraded from original HZs) Hipshot bridge (upgraded) Black warwick tuners (upgraded) Black warwick control knobs (upgraded) Any more details you need http://www.schecterg...o-studio-6.aspx Basically all the gold hardware is gone, replaced with that old favourite black. This bass has been gigged heavily and so shows some bump and grinds, which hopefully the pictures reflect. She plays and sounds incredible, I just can't sit well with her. Comes with her own moulded hard case and just been restrung, so she's twangy. These are stupidly hard (if near impossible) to find in this country, she was bought from America where they were retailed. Ideally after a trade, [s]cash sale is cool but [/s]really would like a bass to replace it with. What kind you say? 4/5 Strings, active with no tiny string spacing. Already own a Fender P bass and Jazz so won't be looking for anything like that thanks Based in Brighton, would prefer collection (face to face is just nicer, plus I make a mean cuppa) however I will send, postage should be between around £30 (which will be on top of sale price). Any questions or offers give me a buzz!
12. Bought a Squire Deluxe Jazz 5 from Steve, I was looking for one and he found me! Absolutely fantastic guy to deal with, packaged up beautifully and arrived with no problems what so ever, good man!
13. Bought Karl's Fender Antigua P bass, arrived this morning and I couldn't be happier. Exactly as described (if anything it couldn't be in newer condition, did you have this for a day?) and was packaged beautifully. Really good guy to deal with, whole thing couldn't have gone any smoother. Polite, kind and a[s] hot piece of ass [/s] good bloke. Thanks again!

16. Sold this gentleman a Spector Euro 5lx, came all the way to Brighton to pick it up! Real nice guy, easy payment and easy sale.
17. I've had some beautiful offers so far, however I really need to stress I'm only interested in downgrading, the only reason I'm moving her on is because I don't feel comfortable using a bass of this value as an everyday bass! So thanks for the offers so far, but I'm not interested in similar valued basses, I cannae warrant it. No matter how freaking amazing some of them are........
18. To be honest Andy before this bass I'd never considered the high C, I'm always a low B guy. However I've found this a joy to play with this set up, and its the main reason im moving on to a six rather than another five. The only problem is I have nothing to compare it to as it has been my only high C experience, so all i can tell you is in my opinion it's ruddy lovely.
