  2. Like a Virgin - Madonna
  3. I like a good hard "one" 😁 Or not much out funks the One on this, when 'er gets going at 1'50. Bootsy Baby! In fact, no-one Out-Ones Bootsy! Whodathunk Silent Night was funky? But it it, 2'23 and on... Proper Christmas Carol!
  4. A bit of jazz-rockin' Michael Manring...
  5. Yellow! And finally managed to get nul points - perhaps the secret is to rock as opposed to to jazz!
  6. Beat it - Michael Jackson
  7. Maggie! - The Exploited
  8. I've been using plugs since the early 90s, first foam, then artillery ones with a chromed cap (proper Frankenstein) and for the last 10 years, ACS Pro 17. Swear by 'em! I find that when mixing a band I can hear distortion and imbalances far better than my dafter bandmates who don't wear plugs, and weirdly, you can hear people talking over stupidly-loud music.
  9. Space Cowboy - Jonzun Crew
  10. Planet Rock - Afrika Bambaata and the Soulsonic Force
  11. Under the Moon of Love - Showaddywaddy
  12. Where's Captain Kirk? - Spizz Energi
  13. Oops upside your head - Gap Band
  14. Rabbit - Chas 'n'Dave
  15. The only rockin' we do is in our chairs on the porch... Though I find if we artistically blur the older members no-one knows just how decrepit we all are! Last night - sound is pretty good for mobile recording, at least through 'phones.
  16. Photoshop, dear boy 😁 It's the modern equivalent of putting a pair of tights or smear of vaseline on the lens... Three of us are over 60!
  17. We were somehow headlining last night at The Victory in Hereford... Three bands - TCCL from Leeds (decent band - good bassplayer!), Potbelly (from Washington State, hardcore but tight as!) and us... Our other bassplayer (Raph) brought the PA, and after a few minor teething problems, sound was pretty good - not too loud but still rockin'. We played pretty well considering our age (at least some of us!) and levels of infirmity, shapes thrown by guitar, head bangin' by Raph, getting right in the crowd's faces by Sam, some crazy cowbell licks by drums and lots of unnecessary widdling from me (I did say some of us are now beyond ancient). We even got 50-odd people in, there was some wild cheering (we normally frown on that sort of thing), we played for an hour because Raph suddenly burst into RATM's "Bullet in the Head" which we hadn't practised for ages and had to do an encore despite it being past my bedtime. And I was accosted by a young man who compared my playing to that of Mudvayne's Ryan Martinie, which was nice (though I did have to look him up just in case). Used the now-trusty ACG Recurve into Helix, BBE Pre and DBX compressor, Crown power and Markbass 4x10 - decent bottom end with good slap top-end.
  18. G'day! Another Shropshire bass player to join the very few of us!
  19. Hollywood Squares - Bootsy's Rubber Band (none more funky!!!)
  20. I've got a Khrush(chev) on you - Ella Fitzgerald
  21. Lenin Be - The Beatles
  22. They've got in a bit of trouble for making inappropriately supporty noises for Kyle Gass... However amid a storm of protest, they gained a number of extra followers and sold a shedload of merch, the profits of which they donated to Black Lives Matter. So we may have a larger than expected crowd!
