2.
would you take £75 on the whammy?
Hey there, im looking for a bit more sorry
 3.
i was quoted £35 for a single loop passive blend pedal
IIRC passive blenders are not so good... I'd wait for the VFB-JR if I were you
 4.
or, for probably alot less than the other two mentioned, you could go the way of red onion solutions.... i know im recommending this place alot, i dont work for them but i just think they are great value, they get the simple and effective job done, and don't add boutique cost to their products
AFAICS they don't do a blend pedal..... only true bypass loops and a/b pedals...
 5.
Right, i want a pedal where i can blend a clean and effected signal. Is there some type of loop pedal that can do this, or a dedicated blend type pedal? Cheers. Alex.
Barge Concepts VFB-2 does exactly what you want. http://www.bargeconcepts.com/vfb1.html theres a smaller version coming out soon too.
 6. Just spotted a bass whammy on the bay, £265 total. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/digitech-bass-whammy...1QQcmdZViewItem Seller looks a bit dodgy though.... Theres a second one here, from Japan though. And a fair bit steeper in price at almost £400 total. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vintage-DigiTech-BAS...7QQcmdZViewItem The seller of this one is the same as I got my Whammy WH-1 from. He posted it very quickly, but I cant say what condition its in or even whether it works or not, because its only just been released with customs charges... Like I said, if you're willing to risk it... Dave
 7. Same applies to Silent Fly. Very quick payment, nice friendly comms, overall a great transaction!
 8.
The signal chain is now: TU2-> homemade 3 channel looper -> ch. A of DD-20-> A/B box (top left, used as mute) Loop 1 (centre switch): Octoplus-> Bass EQ-> Modded Dod 250-> Tubescreamer-> Marshall Guvnor-> Rat Loop 2 (right switch): Ibanez SB7-> Bugbrand Weeviliser Extreme (with Alesis F2 exp. pedal)-> Boss CE3 (temporary until my Pearl Phaser is fixed)-> ch.A of DD6 Loop 3 (left switch, doubles dry signal and splits to guitar amp) -> 2x DJ13's (octave fuzz)-> Line6 FM4-> looper with Alesis Bitrman and Faze units-> ch. B of DD6-> Jamman Did that make any sense?
Its making me dizzy Great board though. What does the Weeviliser do?

 12.
Tom - I'm seriously looking into getting a Barge Concepts VFB-2 for blending, and for the feedback loop, so we'll see how the OD-20 is with it. It's just I'm a bit short of money at the moment - my Shuker is proving to be more of a cash-drain than I thought! If you still want it when I get round to sorting out my board again (whether I love it or hate it, I'm keeping it as it is for the time being), you can certainly have first dibs if I move it on, as you asked! It has a lot of scratches and stuff to it, so I wouldn't say it is perfect condition. But it still has the manual and box, all the knobs and it works perfectly well. Hell, it ain't gonna break, it says Boss on it ¬_¬ Cheers
I've used a VFB-2 and OD-20 together before, and although blending some clean signal in with the OD-20 certainly made it a lot more usable, I still didn't find the end result positive enough to justify keeping it on my board.... Its certainly worth getting a VFB-2 though, and if you haven't heard - they're bringing out a VFB junior, so it'll take up less space (albeit at the cost of the feedback loop)

 22. Ill try and get a pic up when I get a chance. Been meaning to do it for ages! Heres the signal chain anyway: Digitech Whammy IV Tonefactor Hellbaby Barge VFB-2 > Maxon AF-9 > Tech21 Comptortion > EHX Little Big Muff > Boss BF-2 > Ibanez Weeping Demon EBS Multicomp Korg DT-10 Its powered with a Godlyke Powerall. I hopefully plan on replacing the Big Muff with a B:Assmaster, the Comptortion with another distortion pedal (maybe the T-Rex Mudhoney), the BF-2 with a Subdecay Quasar, and maybe putting a P+C / Noisebox in there...
I'm looking a getting a whammy pedal, so what (apart from the rare and expensive Bass Whammy) can you recommend? Gotcha. Cheers
Probably best to go for the Whammy IV. As tayste said, theres on in the for sale forum and is the cheapest youll find it. Plenty of very useful and very usable settings to play around with. Ive heard things about the WH-1 tracking and sounding better than it, but its at least twice the price and youll have a hard time finding one. Same with the Bass Whammy I personally find the whammy IV is more than fine for me though. If perhaps you had a bit of cash to burn you could have a look at the EHX HOG, but it may be a bit of overkill depending on what you want to do with it. It can do a hell of a lot of stuff, but very expensive and takes up a fair bit of space - especially if you get the footswitch controller for changing modes. There have also been murmours about the tracking not being too great on bass, but I haven't tried it myself so I cant comment on that.... Then there is the Digitech EX-7, which can has a detune mode, and +5th, +oct, +2oct, -oct > +oct and 2nd > M3rd whammies, but does not have the other harmony settings that the whammy has, and is more expensive. It can do a bunch of other crazy crap though (wah-wah, chorus, rotary speaker, synth swell - whether these work well on bass I dont know..) and you can also get a footswitch for changing the modes, which is always a bonus. IMHO, you are probably best off with the Whammy IV hope this helps
