We've had plays turned down because the show has been touring. Essentially, if someone else is putting the show on then you can't.
Line house Lizzy may even have the same contract with the remaining original musicians/copyright holders of Thin Lizzy. The big tribute acts are often closely linked to the original artists. I wouldn't have thought an 'official' tribute act will be operating under the radar for long.
Playing covers in a pub band is one thing, but these tribute acts are big business.
