  1. Nooooo not really! The guy organising the band/show/gig seems pretty clued up on marketing etc.
  2. Oddly enough I read the original ad and I thought; 'Yeah, fair comment!' However, I can see how it might seem a bit abrupt/belittling. Are you going for it?
  3. Your amp appears to have parallel 1/4" outputs which means @lozkerr could hook up an 8ohm cab to each of those outputs and set the switch to 4 ohms. It'd be easy to adapt a pair of speaker leads to go 1/4" > Speakon.
  4. 'IF' it is a bolt on neck, you'd save a fortune sending it with the bass disassembled... obviously can't be sent in a filghtcase but you can then double/triple pack it. Saying all of that insurance on an expensive instrument is prohibitively pricey and some couriers insist instruments are sent in cases; which negates taking it apart. Your buyer also has to factor in 20-25% in taxes etc.
  5. I'm looking for PA cabs and these would be ideal. Sadly courier to the other end of the country wouldn't work out viable.
  6. It's an old auction ploy to draw people in thinking they'll get a bargain... not much chance with the Basschat masseeve knowing about it.
  7. Bump
  8. I've just bought the 'roadworn' version of this bass and it is SUPERB! I've owned a fair few Fenders over the years and IMHO I think you'd regret going from this to a Fender... but then again that could be someone else's gain!
  9. I've always wanted another one of these (one of my few regrets selling mine) but Brexit and the whole taxes/import/export puts the block on a 2 way trade for me in the UK.
  10. Good call.
  11. Ah but he was immortalised in the words of a song by 'Train'... more than can be said for any of us!
  12. Ditto. I even felt like Spector bodies were like Streamers that had endured Lockdown and eaten too many pies!
  13. Helllooooo... Sadowsky, Lakland ad infinitum! LOL
  14. Grown up... on a bass forum? Nah, not going to happen.
  15. Yeah Matt, we do weddings etc but we are more a general covers/rock band but for that kind of Rockabilly stuff you could try: https://www.facebook.com/TheRevolutionairesOfficial/ https://www.facebook.com/bessieandthezincbuckets Might pay @bassix to post on the local FB bands page, such as - https://www.facebook.com/groups/NEmuso
  16. Keep the maple, sell WoT the rosewood... you know it makes sense! LOL
  17. Bump
  18. My Warwick is Option 2 and I have to say that the bridge pup in solo doesn't give you a lot of beef! It's fine for tightening up the neck pup when you blend but not on its own, too far back on the E/A IMHO.
  19. You do have other 'options' though, I'm sure mathematically I could tell you how many... if I put my mind to it! e.g. #3 Neck pup E+A closer to bridge / Bridge pup E+A away from the bridge.
  20. I can see you getting a list as long as your guitar lead of people's favourite amps but for my £0.02 worth... ANY amp with 3-400 watts+ will do if you just want more power. Every amp comes with a volume control, so 300 - 1000w in a spare bedroom isn't too loud; it may be a waste of power but if you went out gigging you'd not need to worry about buying a bigger amp! GK 700/800/1001 etc are great amps but do you like the tone?
  21. Saw this on FB but sadly I'm at the other end of the country!
  22. Let's see where we are at in March then!
  23. I do mean North, as in near the wall that keeps the English out of Scotland!
