Crowdfunding for the Hoff? I guess I have to ask the guys behind the initiative how much I would have to pay for them to NOT release the song π I am still traumatised from having watched his disco "song" π₯΄

Wow. Wow. Wow. This is THE best looking finish on a Spector I have ever seen. AMAZING ππ€©π₯°

Cool and so timely with Christmas coming soon π

Sorry, could not resist to share this "approved message". Enjoy π -
Congrats. Great score. Red is my fav colour. Enjoy π

Congrats! Another 77 and the new Ian Hill sig. You are one lucky guy, @Dov65 π

Great voice and killer cover! -
Cool stuff. Watching the video and seeing Rob Halford reminded me of his hilarious COVID advice, especially regarding "toilet roll hoarders" (seems like these are coming back). Not sure if anyone already posted it on BC, so here you go:

Him playing a Megadeth song reminded me of SBL's new video showcasing Dave Ellefson's bass collection. Did not know that he also recorded some albums with a black 4 string Spector NS-2 that he shows from 5:35 onwards. Cool stuff.

Cool video. Like the guy. Knows his stuff. Nice taste of music too. However, the Spector Tonepump is NOT boost only (a common misconception). He also mentions that the 5 string has EMG DC 40 picks but these are TW ones (as correctly mentioned in the subtitles).

I knew you would π

Well, another good reason to get then one, @Dov65 π

As mentioned, I think an Ian Hill sig model with a more subtle 12th fret inlay, like on the Mike Starr sig bass, would have been nicer and more attractive to non JP fans. I also like the back of the headstock of the Mike Starr bass. Again, nice and subtle.

Yeah, the new Ian Hill sig basses look cool. His previous sig used to have a J pick as well but he never used it so they got rid of it as Spector's Taylor McLam mentions in this NAMM video (check from 4:11 onwards). The only issue I have with his new sig is the rather oversized inlay to celebrate JP's 50th anniversary. I would have preferred a more subtle one but hey, it's metal, so bigger is always better π

Yes, you should only ever sell a Spector to finance another one π
-
Back to Spector. Saw this on Spector's FB page. Killer looking NS4. The guy for whom it was custom built must be one happy guy. Very jealous π
-
Kramer Forum III. Well, not really a Spector even if there is clearly some Spector DNA in it (thanks to Kramer purchasing Spector in 85). Not sure about the headstock, too hair metal-ish for my taste. Well, what can I say, I like the sansamp and the skull in the final photo though π

Only if your table is in baby poop brown and from 1977 π

Spector fans, whatβs happening? As you know, the Spector Euro 77 is one of my fav basses. Best neck of all my basses and killer tone (DiMarzio Model P pickup). Just saw that BD has one back in stock and at a great price. Check it out and join the 77 club π

Thanks. I like the guy. Good no-nonsense presentation without the usual hard selling BS. The new Pro II sounds indeed slightly more vintage-ish. However, I will go for a used P and put in the pure vintage 63 and some flats. I showed my wife Geddy Lee's big beautiful book of bass (BTW, strong recommendation for everyone's Xmas wishlist. Amazing book!), showed her his P basses and she liked the foam green and Dakota red ones. So, may get one of these if I find a good one.

Wow, this is hilarious. I understand that there are costs for shipping basses over the pond, have local distribution etc and that's why I got used to $=Β£ prices. However, this is getting ridiculous now π₯΄ Definitely buying used!
