  1. New artist to me. Thanks for sharing. Really nice!
  2. Yes. Not right away, though. Bad me.
  3. The 15" driver in the 200c and the 115 cab really sounds great. Both have a compression tweeter that is missing from the 100c. My rhythm guitar sounds good enough through my 200c, that I no longer use my VOX AC4 practice amp, or my BA-108 for that matter. One thing you can do with the 40c on up is daisy-chain 2 of them via FX Send (amp 1) to FX Return (amp 2 as speaker cab). Works great. I also prefer the 12" driver in the 100 to the 10" drivers used in the 500, 800 and 210. Bonus Fender Rumble v3 tip: You can use the OD circuit as a mute. Turn both knobs fully CCW (off). Switch on the OD circuit via footswitch. Instant MUTE! Rumble on!
  4. Cozy was amazing. One of my favorite live shows of all time was Todd Rundgren and Utopia touring Adventures In Utopia in 1980. First row balcony at the Chicago Auditorium. Perfect acoustics. Perfect sight lines. The first set featured the band playing normal instruments. The intermission featured a video set to Bolero, with each band member coming out individually and playing some odd instrument along with the video (Todd played a sax). The second set featured each member playing custom gear. Cozy's motorcycle drum kit was awesome. I can't find a pic of it online. If anybody has one, I'd love to see it!
  5. More like "evolved" for me. For example, I've bought quite a few Stick Figure CDs the last few years. He's from San Diego (a LONG way from Jamaica). He does good work!
  6. At £200, a Fender Rumble 40 is a great little amp. My little Ampeg BA-108 practice amp has been sitting unused since I bought a Rumble. https://shop.fender.com/en-US/bass-amplifiers/contemporary-digital/rumble-40/2370300000.html If you have/buy a foot switch, you can use it to switch the Overdrive on and off. If you set both OD controls fully CCW (off), it acts as a mute switch! Much to really like.
  7. +1 on the Fender Rumbles. I bought a 200 combo when the v3 Rumbles were released almost 5 years ago (?). I just preferred the sound of the 15" speaker over the 2x10" speakers in the 500 combo. Some cool features of the Rumbles are: 1) you can daisy-chain the combos via the FX Send (on the 1st) to FX Return (on the 2nd), so you can own a couple of the them and use one or two depending on the venue 2) the input GAIN is really a variable input pad (running it fully CCW works fine) 3) it has a built-in compressor/limiter 4) you can use the Overdrive section as a MUTE instead (both knobs fully OFF; can be engaged/disengaged with a foot switch) There's an excellent Fender Rumble WIKI on the TalkBass website at: Fender Rumble Club WIKI
  8. I started with classical piano in 1961, studying under the soloist for the St. Louis Philharmonic. After learning some clarinet, I switched to bass guitar in 1967. My first rig was a used '63 Fender Jazz and a used '64 Fender Bassman Blonde Brownface amp (both given away by my mother (for free!) when I was in the Army). Then came a working career that left me no time for hobbies. I've recently gotten back into making music. Happy to have found you. Here's a meme I created to show where I'm at.
