Thank you very much Steve, it was an absolute pleasure to deal with you and hear about your musical endeavours. Good luck for Tuesday!
  2. I met Steve earlier today and bought his Fender Jazz bass. It was absolutely as described, in immaculate condition and well set up. Steve is a great guy and was an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Do business with full confidence.
  3. Happy to help, All the best. 👍
  4. Very nice indeed, GLWTS.
  5. Thank you, I have to say yours is a real eye catcher as well. GLWTS.
  6. Lovely bass, I have an Alpher Mako myself and had a Cobia previously. Lovely instruments. Here’s mine.
  7. Great basses these, and this particular bass belongs to a great bass player who also happens to be a mate of mine. I believe it may have been used on this track from Wayne’s 2023 EP B.ASS. I have recently seen and handled this bass and it’s immaculate and very light for all those like me who suffer with a bad back or shoulder ailments.
  8. Can’t say I noticed any, balance was pretty good on this one.
  9. SOLD.
  10. I have just sold my Cort GB Modern 5 to Steve. He has been great to deal with throughout the whole process.
  11. Glad you like the bass Steve. All the very best.
  12. Sale pending.
  13. Hello All, I am looking to move on my recently acquired Cort Modern 5 bass. It has a remarkable spec for the price and is superlight. Over the years I’ve had a few 5 string basses which I haven’t gelled with. I love the sound but playing them is not an enjoyable experience for me at least. I can’t imagine there is any bass out there which has this sort of spec and price weighing 8lbs. Needless to stay the sounds on tap are top drawer as you would expect considering the pickups and pre amp are made by world class companies, Nordstrand and Mark Bass respectively. Photos and details of the full spec are attached. For complete transparency there is a small mark by one of the pre amp toddles, it looks like it might be a tiny finish crack. This does not affect the operation of the instrument in any way and won’t be noticed by anyone except the eagle eyed. In all other respects the bass is as new and comes with a Cort hard case which must be worth a few quid on its own. I have just had the bass set up and new SIT strings have been fitted. I am happy to sell or trade for a nice 4 string PJ or J instrument with a similar retail price (around £1000). I have put this up at the price I bought it for a month ago which was a bit of a bargain. I will obviously sell but I am not looking to discount much from this price. Collection preferred from WN4 near Haydock racecourse, or a meeting can be arranged. Courier could also be arranged at the cost and risk of the buyer but I am not sure I have a suitable box TBH.
  14. Very nice Roger, GLWTS.
  15. Great tone and lovely playing Robert.👏👏 I used to have a sunburst one of these and really regret selling it. Awesome basses. I’m guessing you like listening to groove bass players?
  16. Please check your PM’s. Cheers, Mark.
  17. Seems a little slower than the original ‘Open your Eyes you can fly’ bassline. Might be my imagination.
  18. They are marvelous basses. The main difference between the Metro Line and Express, was in the manufacture. The Metro Line was built by Sadowsky Japan when it existed, the Express was made by a different factory to Sadowsky’s spec. I heard it said that the builder could have been Atelier Z or ESP, either way they both make incredible instruments and it looks like yours is no exception. GLWTS.
  19. Sorry all, but I am withdrawing this bass permanently. It’s probably the best sounding and most versatile bass I have owned and to top it off it’s unbelievably light. Thanks to those who have been in touch with offers of trades but it’s time to get off this blooming hamster wheel and to just get into playing more bass! cheers, Mark.
  20. Thank you, it sounds great very versatile and mega light without being made of a soft wood like Pawlonia. Spanish mega bassist Vincen Garcia has just taken delivery of exactly the same bass. https://www.facebook.com/100064255916873/posts/846707654147757/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v
  21. Available again, my recently acquired Alusonic Django Deluxe. Immaculate condition, super light tone machine, weighing in at just over 7lbs courtesy of a chambered swamp ash body and carbon fibre top with integrated pick guard. The tones available are very useable ranging from full on classic MM, to Pbass and several other variations all of which sound fantastic. Happy to consider trades for Fender, Yamaha , Sadowsky etc with the main caveats being instruments in very good condition and not weighing more than 9lbs. Any questions please ask.
  22. Here is my recently acquired Alusonic Django Deluxe 4 custom shop that I would be happy to sell, but I am really looking for a straight or partial trade. These particular basses with their high specification and extremely light weight retail at over £3000 currently. Whilst this is a very impressive instrument, tone, weight and build quality wise, I find my self hankering after a more simple instrument in the jazz bass vein or similar, maybe even a PBass. The only caveat I have is that I won’t accept anything too heavy owing to my shoulder and back issues. The maximum weight I can consider is in the high 8 pound range. This particular instrument is quite remarkable tone wise with its 5 way position switch allowing wide variation ranging from something Musicmanesque to Jazz bass honk; there is a very convincing Pbass sound in there too. The bass weighs in at 7.3 pounds and balances perfectly. The Hipshot branded tuners do a great job of preventing neck dive and the condition of the bass is excellent with no damage whatsoever. There are a few very minor cosmetic marks on the scratch plate and that’s it. I recently had the nut changed as I had an issue with a buzzing D string. The bass went to the excellent Jack’s in Manchester who discovered the nut had some sort of problem with how it had been cut, so the decision was made to replace it with a nut made from Buffalo horn which is a very hardwearing material. Needless to say this remedied the issue and a set up which was carried out at the same time has allowed for a medium low action which can be tweaked to suit. If you have any questions or offers of trades please do let me know. I am happy to look at instruments of equivalent value for a straight trade or lesser value with cash my way please. Thanks for looking.

  23. Very nice. I believe Mark King has a Unicorn bass reminiscent of an Alembic.
