1. Sandberg are awesome!
2. Can't say I can see the appeal either.
3. Was just messing around with my spector for a while then decided to have a go on the vigier, and even though the spector looks awesome, it's nothing compared to the Vigier when playing it!
4.
Couldnt resist, just bought an amberburst LX4 from Brum - think it was the last one. Been deliberating since news of the deal came through, fortunately it coincided with a little windfall. Spare cash and fantastic deal doesnt happen often! Cant wait! Dunc
That was their last one I phoned them on Sunday and they had that, but decided against it as I don't like the colour.
5. Wrong area, and there is a thread elsewhere.
6. Sounds like you are just saying the intonation is out?
7. I've probably had a few hundred guitars/basses in the 7 years or so that I've been playing, but nowadays I try to keep the amount down and spend more on decent basses whereas when I was younger I'd have more, but probably cheaper ones. I would probably get more basses, but I have 2 expensive guitars (and some cheaper ones) and I feel quite bad having a Gibson Les Paul Standard and a Paul Reed Smith Anniversary Custom 24 sitting in their cases never getting touched, and if I got more basses, some would end up the same way.
8. I wouldn't practice unless everyone is there either, but I wouldn't cancel or not show up either.
9. What kind of idiot would buy one of those?!
10. I asked them about them too, and they just said sold as seen.
11. That's been on ebay a few times, although like it said it cost a lot to buy when new, it's from a relatively unknown luthier so won't ever sell for much.
12. You need to get a Sandberg so we can be the East Anglian Spector/Vigier/Sandberg society!
13. This bass is awesome, even my guitarist says it sounds nice, and everyone knows guitarists can't usually tell the difference between basses! It cuts through like nothing I've heard before. I do indeed suffer from the old GAS, been through hundreds of guitars/basses, but I have never had more then about 20 at a time, so don't think I will get to the Nick level of basses, but I do aspire to it, haha.
14. I love Andy Mckee.
15. That is a cool looking bass, what are the plastic bits around the pickups etc, there for protection?
16. I fixed it! Was going to swap the pot as my housemate had some bass EMG ones around, then noticed they weren't the same, so was going to just resolder it, but I noticed 2 of the tabs were bent and touching, moved them apart, and there we go, trebley goodness!
17. I got the vinyl cd's, if you are interested in what they look like, here is a pic...
18. Some proper photos of my Vigier, decided to take it out to the driveway when we were doing ones of the Spector.....
19. Oh well, hopefully it's just an issue with the pot, I never use eq's on basses anyway. Added some proper photos to the top post.
20. I checked the back out and there is nothing disconnected, is it just very subtle, or is mine just not working? Any idea what pot I would need to replace it?
21. What are the controls? Two volumes at top, bottom right when looking from the top) is bass I assume, other does nothing at all? Is it meant to be treble?
22. Yeah, I saw yours, looks awesome too.
23. At my folks waiting for this bass and some copies of my bands mini album to show up, the bass is here, this is from my phone as obviously I am not at mine, will get proper photos later! Edit - Some proper photos....
24. Andy bought my Warwick Thumb earlier, it's gone to a good home!
25. Birmingham sent me a list earlier too and they had loads left, have you e-mailed them all?
