  1. This bass is great, used to be mine before BaggyMan! GLWTS
  2. Hey players! Putting out this lovely Sandberg California 5, looking for either a straight sale or a trade for a musicman 5/ Caprice. Not super keen to let it go because it's a great studio bass, it just isn't getting used a lot. I'm playing all my gigs atm with cheap Harley Benton basses incase of breakage or theft. It has been upgraded with Ghost pups and Aguilar OBP -3SK/PP preamp, but I do still retain the original circuitry. The serial number is 24372 (hard to see on the pictures) which dates it back to 2016 production. Pickup/meet-up in London or postage (I do have a big box) is possible. Can't drive unfortunately. Help me get a MM Caprice! Let me know what you think and any possible trades, hit me up
  3. Will defo try that, thanks!
  4. After the pedal board is a TC electronics BH750 or an Audient iD14 (just for home recording straight into DAW). Yes the pedalboard always stays the same, just been trying to add a DI so I can play live without need for a bass amp.
  5. Thing is, it's similar clipping effect with all of them, the least is with the wine cellar, but still noticibly there on the low end, and when i turn up the highs and "presence" on the DI's the distortion gets worse. The aftershock is amazing, best bass distortion pedal I ever bought!
  6. Yeah without the DI pedal it's great, nice and clean!
  7. Its at about 12 to 1 o clock, ration 2:1 and blend 100%
  8. IN -> PolyTune2 -> Hyper Luminal (comp) -> C4 Synth -> Aftershock (distortion) -> DI pedal -> OUT All powered by Mooer Micro Power
  9. Hey guys, Recently I've been trying to add a Di pedal at the end of my pedalboard chain. So far I have tried the following DI's: Behringer BDI21 Caline CP-60 Wine Cellar and a Ukrainian hand built B3K clone by CRAB (solo Ukrainian guy building amps and effect pedals) The problem I have found with all of them is that even with the drive or gain section disengaged or turned to 0 I still get some clipping/distortion happening when playing. Not sure if this is by design or my setup is not right. (I've tried both through amp and straight into a DAW) So what I'd like, is to still keep my bass clean until I stomp on a dedicated distortion pedal (ie I use Aftershock). Any advice?
  10. I will measure tonight or tomorrow when I get back, but yes it's feels definitely bigger and more spacy, but I found it actually quite comfortable and faster to play some licks
  11. PRICE DROP - £700 Hi guys, I'm selling / trading this bass on because its surplus to requirments and it's not going to get used. It's an awesome rare-ish FGN bass (JMJ52ASHDEM) built in Matsumoko factory, Japan. The build quility is really top notch and it plays great. I part traded this bass a few months ago here on BC from BaggyMan, but have only used it at home a few times. Since I got another bass that I'm using as my primary this one needs to go. Preferabbly meet up or collection, but maybe we can sort out postage as well. I don't drive unfortunately tho. For trades just give me a shout with what you think fits the bill, not looking at anything particular atm. Scale length is 34" Body is ash Neck is maple/maple Single coil neck and musicman style bridge pickups Active EMG powered pickups, no pre-amp, dual/single coil switching on the bridge Musicman style bridge pickup.

  13. Would you say you could use this as a EQ as well?
  14. *It has gone to a new home* EDIT - Now for sale as well! Hi all, I'm looking to have a trade with this beautiful Overwater Perception 5, give me some shouts if you fancy! I may sell this later on if no trades come my way, but atm I'm in no rush to do so. I'm mainly looking to trade for Musicman 5 string basses, but anything that you think fits the trade, send it over! I don't drive unfortunately, therefore its hard for me to meet outside of London very far. Although we can chat. The Custom in it's name means the bass having a non-standart bridge to what was offered at the time. In 2015 the bass was sent to Chris May at Overwater for some TLC who gave the bass a full service, upgraded preamp and fitted the wooden ramp between pups. I have not changed anything in its set-up since I purchased it, simply do to it being set up perfectly. I have only changed strings which are La Bella's stainless steel 45-128 series. And put dot sticker markers on the fretboard because I was just used to them. They can be taken off easily if needed! Manufactured 2007 Purchased 2019 5 String 24 Frets 35" Scale 9V Active 4.6kg (bass on its own) Volume, Pickup Pan, Bass, Mid, Treble, Push/Pull High End Boost Bolt-On Neck Upgraded Overwater PreAmp (Fit By Overwater) Overwater/Hiscox Hardcase Strung B - G String spacing between B-E string 14mm, spacing D-G strings is 16mm
