why are you against it as a gigging bass? What points in particular?

does anyone know where these are made? Its been suggested that there are CIJ an MIM ones but how would I tell the difference when looking at one or purchasing one?

I took my bass on a BA flight to Jersey. Used a hiscox case and I was allowed to take it hand luggage. It even fits in an overhead locker. If you ring BA they'll tell you it goes in the hold but when you check in and ask nicely they say its ok.

it would be a gigging bass going out a couple of times a week so I wouldnt need inspiring to pick it up. I had a slab body kramer many years ago and that was ok. I guess its neck and sound then. Would it be possible to fit a hipshot d-tuner to one of these? Anyone done that?

Ideally I would like: mains powered valve distortion/overdrive direct/effect blend or levels No bass loss The sort of sound I want is from a Song2 type distortion to a slightly dirty overdriven valve sound. I have not broken a string for 17 years. I now have a fender Jazz V and string it through the body with Fender 8250s with taper wound E and B strings. I've broken 2 E strings in the last couple of months around the taper but not at the bridge saddle. Has anyone else experienced this with this bass or strings?

Does anyone know what the Battery life is on a Fender Am dlx Jazz V? Is there any noticable indication that they are on the way out or is it a sudden loss of sound? Cheers Wazz

I had one made by flightcase warehouse. Its foamed out and fits the unit great. It sits in the base when I use it. However I have since had cases from FW and they have been very poorly made
