13. I'm looking to sell my practice amp because its takes up too large and powerful for my needs. Its in perfect condition. Its approximately 3 years old but works the same it did when i first bought it. It is primarily a practice amp but is definitely powerful enough to use as a monitor for small to medium gigs. Ideally I'd like to trade it for something of similar price but of smaller physical dimensions and less power. Otherwise I'm looking for about £80, I think I bought it new for £120. I would prefer if you could collect it from North London or Baldock, Hertfordshire. Can post it necessary. 14. I think you could improve the FAQ page by making the questions stand out more from the rest of the text, by making the whole of the question bold for example. This makes it easier to quickly find the particular question you are looking for, rather than having to read throught the whole text
15. nice one thanks, quite lucky because i went ahead and bought it, quite a bargin for 20 squids
16. I'm thinking of buying one of these. I will be using it for a bit of home recording and possibly a bit with the band. I'm just a bit worried about the latency there could be, as i will almost certainly be using it for over-dubbing. Has anyone got an oppinion, or even better, first hand experience. Jack
17.
Well, the Bass Centre site has a tick to say they have them in stock, and they're London SE1 which isn't far from me... Tempted to pop in!
you realise theyre just a warehouse these days, or can you still go and try stuff out in the warehouse?
18. for all you who say the youth of today are lazy read this quote: "The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they allow disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children now are tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers. " well that was written by socrates approx 2,000 years ago. times just change, kids dont really get 'worse'
19.
Very unlikely. As long as the voltage is correct the pedal will only take as much current as it needs. Think of a car battery, it can deliver hundreds of amps to the starter motor however it will run just the clock, alarm or radio which require less than an amp.
yeah thats what i thought, but its deffnetly stopped working!!
20.
I build a BYOC one, which is a clone of the DOD I believe. Sounds great, but needs to be set up carefully for the bass and amp. £44 and a fun project.
It says on the website "Compared to other envelope filters, this may be a one-trick-pony, but it does it's one trick well." what is this one sound???
21.
Any dc power supply capable of delivering 1A or higher should do the trick (with those pedals you're drawing about 600ma).The Diago Power Station gets a lot of thumbs up and handles up to 3A. You want to check that any pedals you use take dc power (most do), whether it's positive or negative ground (most are negative, but you'll need a separate supply for those that aren't) and the type of socket they've got Diago do adaptors).
i'd be careful because i think I broke my pedal last night by using a 200mA adaptor with a pedal that requires 23mA :/
22. How about a MIA fender jazz, with an upgraded preamp
23. does the BBE do a decent job of compressing slap bass?
24. i'm interested to know why you decided to make a pedalboard out of only ashdown pedals
25. alternatively, anyone fancy making me an offer?
