1. I do like instruments from the land of the rising sun! The new Aria SB's just don't do it for me, not keen on the changes and the prices are ridiculous!
2. Did I recently see this bass (and the SB900) on the Facebook Aria forum?
3. I currently own 6 (but always room for more!) US Deluxe Fender P in all black, Fender Marcus Miller Jap, Ibanez Musician, Aria SB1000, Aria SB900 Fretless, Travis Bean TB2000 Fretless,
4. The Ibanez is lovely and totally amazing, but a little on the heavy side for me these days. The Travis Bean is still in the Arsenal, but sadly not seeing much play these days.
5. (£675 plus courier) A lovely 1980 Ibanez MC924 Musician for sale or possibly trade. She is in decent condition for a high-quality instrument made at the beginning of the spooky old '80s! She works perfectly. (Was a bit of a gas buy) She comes with her original case, (still in good condition) happy to field any questions and would prefer a cash sale, but trade wise Stingray, Warwick or possible a decent Fretless. Happy to ship by courier, at your cost and will be suitably packed as befits such an instrument! UK Sale Only Thanks for looking... Steve.
6. Hi Chap and Chapesses, We have all done it, some more than others; but we all get to a stage in our bass playing lives when we suddenly listen to our other halves and realise that perhaps 20 basses is a little too many!? Some have rules, one in and one out and some say sod it - we can always build an extension to house them! but I find myself looking at my collection (currently 7) and think; I really only play two of them regularly (A Jazz and a P) and the others were even gas buy's or nostalgia. Am I the only one? Has anyone had a cull and regretted it? Cheers, Steve.
7. Had the pleasure of buying Phil's US Fender Precision, was a total gent and a very smooth transaction.
8. Now that's nice! Sorely tempted....
9. Hi, I have a fault on my newly purchased 1984 Aria SB1000, the seller has agreed to pay for any repair and ideally I am looking for someone in the Cambridgeshire area who can carry out a repair and a set-up on the bass. The PUP was replaced aboout 2 years ago and it seems to be working perfectly in active and passive. The issue is the 6 way selector, that when in active mode makes no change to the tone, and with each turn of the switch I get a loud crackling sound, it has been suggested it could be anything from dirty contacts to a capacitor leak, I have had a look and all seems visibly ok - but as a non techie would rather have a professional review and repair it. Anyone know of a good repair tech that could do the job for me? Cheers, Steve.
10.
Was a poor attempt at try to turn the famous "Bits n pieces" techno song into lyrics. Apologies for the de-railment.
Lol, not to worry I will now check the song out!
11. Basschat used to be a great place to buy or sell gear 8-10 years ago and I made a lot of bass playing buddies through sales but as it grew in popularity, so did the amount of time wasters and jokers who think helpful comments about the gear your selling flourished. I used to buy and sell a lot on here about 7 years ago but just got fed up with meaningless messages and comments that potentially scupper your sale with personal unhelpful opinions. But having said that it's still a great place for more realistic prices as opposed to eBay.
12.
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo (Increasing pitch) doo doo doo doo doo doo doo (Decreasing pitch)
Sorry, you have lost me...
