There’s so many but that jazz is one of my favourite limelight’s , I’m definitely going to add one to my collection at some point, thanks PTB 👍

Bafflegab is going to use longer screws to fix into the stud , You don’t use rawlplugs in wood 🙂
-
No , you mainly use rawlplugs in masonry, just pilot a hole with a small drill bit and put your screw in 👍
-
Brilliant work skank ☝️

I can’t remember the last time Hackney had an earthquake, but it’s worth knowing skank 👍😄

7 of my 12 basses hang on the wall with no problems , they stay in tune and none have been damaged, the only downside is they can collect dust, especially if you’re decorating around the house 🙂
-
I wouldn’t do that one myself 🙂
-
That’s good, I’d go 40mm into the wood, to be sure.
-
Pilot a hole through where you are going to put the hanger , to make sure it’s timber studs and not metal stud , (your hanger will cover the hole) the plasterboard should be about 13mm , then I would recommend at least 40-50mm of screw into the timber , some houses have 2 layers of board 🙂

I’ve been following Alain M for many years, he’s a great reggae bass player and plays in the belgium reggae band, Asham-band .
-
Amazing player, she makes it look so easy 🙂

There’s some really great limelight’s here, it’s one of my favourite threads 🙂
-
If it’s any help, I enquired about a limelight , black 1960s jazz build with stack knobs, light relic ,and it came in at £1500 , posted with a case .

I wouldn’t hesitate to buy anything from Karl , he is an absolute pleasure to deal with, great communication, he posted the same day and it arrived the next, top guy, cheers Tony

There’s no reason why you can’t move down to the D, it’s just what you feel comfortable with, I like to mute the lower string to what I’m playing with my thumb, and I play close to the neck, so I lightly anchor on E A and D strings , the same as is shown in this video at 7.21 . Quite a few friends of mine just anchor on the pickup 🙂

I took a heavy rock fan friend of mine to a black uhuru concert in 1979 , and in return he took me to see motorhead at the Hammersmith odeon , it was the bomber tour, I think this video was the one , and it’s the marshall stack, it’s by far the heaviest concert I’ve ever been to 🙂 -

I used to listen to a lot of rap , and one of my favourite albums is , The Chronicle by Dre , I still have the battered original copy, well worth a listen -
I’m a big fan of the stacked knob jazzes, I’ve had quite a few, my 62RI nitro finish aged really nice, and I changed my shell pink jazz to a concentric control plate, which really gets a lot of use. As @DoubleOhStephan mentioned, you could always fit the control plate to the jazz of your choice 🙂
