1. Bought a new amp bump!
2. Hi Chris I have a cab I used with my lg1000 a couple of times it's an awesome cab but I'm getting rid of the LG and I want smaller cabs In a nutshell, it’s a light (50 lb) stereo 4x10. It was built by Kurt Meyer at Flite for a US customer who wanted two 2x10s put into a single 4x10 sized cabinet and still have it be superlight. http://www.flitecabs.com/ The specs are as follows: - each side is a 3-way 2x10 cab; they are built together to make it a 4x10 (a la old Ampeg SVT cabs). - Rated at 300 watts RMS @ 4 ohms/side - 600 watts total - Each side has two 10” woofers, a 5" mid, and a tweeter - Speakers are Eminence. - Each side has attenuators for the mids and highs - Each side has two Speakon connectors and a 1/4" input connector - The previous owner said the efficiency rating was 99db @ 1watt/meter. - comes with a custom non-padded cover - 26” high x 28” wide x 14.75” deep - Weight 50 lbs You just take separate speakon cables from the LG into each side of the cab it works perfectly. Cheers Stevie
3. More price drop bumpage would quite like to shift this, so I can buy something else!
4.
heh heh the irony. I prefer the Rev 2 to the K&K
Always the way man! By the way I'm open to offers on this trying to drum up some funds for a new purchase (as ever)...
5. I'm fairly sure it slotted into the wing pretty well, it was a wee while ago I don't think I sanded it at all, if I did I was probably very little as I'm a bit on the cautious side, I'll check tonight when I get home. Been sitting in the wee bag for ages better if someone gets use out of it, I'm quite happy with the KK.
6. Bumpage for price drop!

11. There is a really great luthier in Edinburgh Ken MacDonald can't recommend him highly enough
12. I've seen the Skylark stuff before apparently they are quite nice, though I'm amazed they've got away with some of the guitars they sell as they are direct rip offs
13. Price drop bumpery
14. Thanks a lot for the info
15.
it goes down to 2ohms
So I could run this into a 4X10 at 4 ohms a side?
16. Sorry but I'm not the most technically minded does this amp output to 4 ohm cabs?
17. Get the singer you auditioned back in, get another guitar player (if needs be), hey presto brand new band with no fannies!
18.
Somewhere between frets 6 and 9 on the G (on pretty much every Stingray I've ever played), somewhere around fret 4 on the E if you're really unlucky. Often they're not really noticable until you plug in an effect that relies on sustain to do its job (octavers, harmonisers, envelope following effects too to some extent) and then suddenly they're the most annoying things in the universe.
I'll have a look man, granted I haven't used many effects for a few years (though I just bought some), but I've had my 4 string fretted for over 20 years and it's been plugged into every possible combination noise making device imaginable and I've never noticed it, I might be deaf but maybe I'm just fortunate to have a got a good one (or three hopefully)!
19.
dead spots on the neck in the typical Stingray places let it down.
I have a 3 band eq model, my bass of choice for noodling at the moment it's really lovely to play. Out of interest where are the typical dead spots, I have a few rays and never really noticed (which is not unusual for me), but I'll nip home and scrutinise them this evening!
