1. Hmmm I thought I was being smart sharing them from Google pics. I'll check what the problem is.
2. I have for sale my white Yamaha BB5000 5 string. I just don't play the 5 string much (at all) and I'm thinking of buying a new amp. I have to say it's one of the best sounding basses I have and I will regret selling it. It's the classic 80s 5 string, gold hardware super thin neck and for me has an absolutely classic monster tone. For info, I picked up the bass a few years ago and had a partial refin carried out by a luthier I use, someone had messed around with paintwork on the body, it's an incredible job he has matched the slightly off white colour perfectly. There are some dings and looks like someone may have tried to fit a different machine head and the pickup surrounds are a bit tarnished. I'm highlighting the negatives here but in general the bass is in great condition for bass that is around 25 years old. The bass is from 86 to 89 and made in Japan as it's serial config matches the one below and it says 'made in Japan' Made in Japan, 1986-1989: #-letter-#####. 5I04013. The first number is an internal code. The letter is the month; February (see chart). The next two numbers are the date; 4th. The last three numbers are the unit number; 13. There is no indication of year in this configuration–just “sometime between ’86 and ’89. It comes with the original case albeit a wee bit tatty on the outside. Looking for £750 plus postage. I'm going to say the obligatory 'if it doesn't sell I'll be happy' and in this instance it's true! 3. It's the second from the left. The guys from HAZ are being really helpful. Unfortunately not straightforward for me!
4. I wonder if anybody can recommend an electronics person, Glasgow area preferably but Scotland or in fact anywhere! I have just bought NS Design CR4T electric upright bass. There is a blend control which blends between two sets of pickups, one for arco and one for pizz currently it does not enable the arco section. I knew the blend was faulty when I bought the bass in the hope I could get it fixed. I have been in touch with NS Design ad they have informed the bass is an older model with the preamp made by HAZ Labs who made pres for Steinberger and Spector. Don at NS has offered to send me some pots they have left over as the preamp is no longer made. Potentially the pot could be bad or the pins going into the preamp could be bent. The options are getting someone to diagnose the problem, take a punt and replace the pot and lastly I’ve spoken to HAZ labs and they will fix it but I’m not comfortable removing the preamp and then putting it back together. Here is a pic of the gubbins which is beyond my meagre knowledge!
5. I've just bought an NS Design CR4 from this very page. The bass uses the older HAZ circuitry, is there any significant difference between the older and newer models and when did NS introduce their new circuits?
6. John made a new wiring harness for my Ric type bass. Fitting new pickups with his solderless design was absolute breeze even for someone as hopeless as me. He even sent a me out a new set od extra nuts and washers! Couldn't recommend him highly enough!
7. I have an old p bass copy that I'm farting about with. I was cleaning up the hardware and put some of the tarnished stuff in white vinegar which was a great success however, the washers and nuts for the volume knobs etc just disintegrated! The problem being they are smaller than the standard size. Does anyone know offhand where I can get small washers and nuts and what size they may be? Thanks in advance!
8.
So is this for Charlie Brown or Snoopy?
Woodstock!
9. Can anyone recommend a decent budget bridge for a P bass? After the cheapy cheap!
10. Picked up this Westfield bass for £15! I mean I don't need another bass but... Looks to be in good nick, the bridge and some screws are a bit tarnished and something mad going on with the bridge. I think I need to adjust the truss rod as there appears to be no neck relief. But for that price how bad can it be!
11. Maybe I can get one made up I need a bunch of other cables as well.
12. I can assure you if I did that it wouldn't look like that, I'm completely hopeless!
13.
Do you need it to rotate after it has been made up? And what angle do you need the cable to exit - sideways or up/down?
Sideways and I don't need it to rotate afterwards, just all of the off the shelf cables appear to be up/down. In hindsight rotating is not important!
14. Switchcraft right angle DIN connector?
15. I might be getting this wrong but I thought I saw cables that you could turn the connector and then fasten in position, so you could get the angle your require. Most right angled midi cables appear to have the connector at the wrong angle for me.
16. Hi Anyone know where I can buy a straight to right angle midi patch lead with a rotating connector?

18. Well I was rehearsing last night and my eyes wandered to a big people of old junk that belongs to the guitar player in our rehearsal room and I spied this. https://goo.gl/photo...1WRaTsa7mPS3r98 It's a DOD FX 17 Wah/Volume pedal it's been in the wars but I was actually looking at one elsewhere so I'll see how it shapes up.
19. I think Bax have the Bass Press
20. I've sa
Dunlop have a mini wah out now, as do AMT... but if you want mini wah + mini volume in one unit, this is the only one I know of but it's not widely available yet: http://www.hotoneaud..._Pedal/127.html
Hi Danny I saw that it, looks good but as you say quite hard to come by. Have you seen the Morley Mini Wah Volume, not bass but maybe okay? http://www.morleypedals.com/dmwv.html
21.
Do you want the actual foot pedal bit, or a boost auto wah pedal?
Looking for the full foot thing, they just seem quite huge.
22. Can anyone recommend a volume/wah pedal? Something that's not enormous!
