I'm lucky. I would say for retired guys like me with a pension, I don't spend more than I earn.I never travel more than 30 minutes to a gig and my gear has been paid for, for years. My gig earnings go straight into a savings account. Blue

I hear you, while my band is still gigging it's a small fraction of the business we were doing last year this time. Blue

I'm curious. I understand the days of the big royalty checks for pro hit makers ended with US FCC law years ago. Many artists had to make the lions share of their income from touring. This can't be good for those folks. Blue

Is the gold P Bass MIJ ? Did you take the plate around the volume and tone controls off? Blue

Here in the States most guys that had full time Gigs and are union members are collecting. 1k per week. However, I understand that will end on July 31st. unless they extend the benefit. Blue

With 5 months of gigs cancelled for many of us with no end in sight, what is the reality and future for working musicians professional and amateur. I have a buddy who's 55 years old. All of his gigs are cancelled and he's looking for a regular job. He told me how hard it is filling out employment applications; " I haven't held a regular job since I was 14 years old" Please share other stories and thoughts. Blue

Last night the acoustic version of Maple Road played an outdoor show @ Sahale Brewery in Grafton, 7-9 pm. Big beautiful 3 level patio area, plenty of room for social distancing. Very cool appreciative crowd. Next weekend will be our 8th week in a row of gigging. Blue

Oh well, Tues. Aug. 4th Maple Road@ Konkel Park in Greenfield has been canceled courtesy of Covid. They will book the band next season. Blue

THANK YOU to the Milwaukee Boat Line and the Vista King for hosting another great concert cruise last night! We had a blast as usual! Being the first of the season with the new Covid restrictions in place, no one knew quite what to expect, but we would strongly recommend getting tickets to an upcoming cruise! The staff did a great job, and with the limited tickets available and open air upper deck, there is more than enough room to move about, dance the night away and practice social distancing! The crew wear masks throughout the night, and passengers need one while waiting in line to board, and while on the lower level (because it is enclosed) which is where the bar and restrooms are located. All in all, a GREAT experience for all!! Thank you to our friend Jim Kennedy for the photos!

I feel the same way about my Gibson Gold Top Les Paul Bass. Great bass, but I never connected with it. Blue

It's a fun gig, basically a booze cruise. We play for 1. 5 hours. $20 00 a head . We get a good percentage of the take . The load in and parking is not great. Blue
