I've heard some signed bands are like that. It happened to us before. We were to open for Samantha Fish and we were cancelled for the same reason. Daryl
-
We also share the luxury of having our own dedicated sound & lights guy. Daryl

Cancelations. I hate them. We had a nice theatre gig coming up, opening for a signed national touring band. The story I got was they don't want a 4 piece band opening. Our two guitarists are going to open. I'm a little suspicious of the whole thing. Daryl

Sounds like a decent gig Dave. And $150.00 is good pay. Daryl

Thanks Dave Daryl

I like that Dave. Can I order one from any of the major providers? Daryl

I'm finally using my Line 6 G-30 correctly. I use to keep my transmitter in my front pants pocket. Now I have a strong peice of velcro on the back of my guitar strap and on the back of the transmitter. Daryl

Dave, your one of the only guys I know that performs wireless. I've been going wireless for atleast 20 years. I love the freedom of wireless. Daryl

I like those jackets. Daryl

It's like playing a house party. Daryl

The band looks great and sounds great. Daryl

Dave, It is someone's house. There is a huge bar when you enter the place. It's our 4th time playing there. People love it because you bring your own booze and save money. It's a very lucrative gig for us . Daryl

Nice one ! Daryl

The 7-10 gig at Rockfield Music & Media went pretty fast. The place was packed. I don't know where all these people come from considering the place sits out in the middle of nowhere. Our performance was just ok. We had some good moments along with a few sloppy ones. I got lost in "Jolene". The dep drummer showed some improvement. The provided rig was fine. However the XRL out was not functioning so we miced the cabs. I wasn't able to get any decent pictures. Daryl

Thanks for posting the video clip. Very nice. Daryl

Everyone except for the drummer is set up before me. They're all in their early 40s and move a lot faster than me. In my older age I'm overall a lot more practical about my gigs. And anything I can take off my plate to make the gig go smooth for me , I'll do it. But not at anyone else's expense. I might do a little tweaking for my sound on stage. Not much, as soon as I hear something I like and my chorus pedal is set I'm good. Dave, I completely delegate the sound in the house to the sound guys. That's not my area of expertise. Hopefully they'll get me a good sound and place me properly in the mix. I'm not getting involved with that part of a show. Keep in mind, 10 years ago I'd definitely be on the other side of the fence. If we can keep the stage volume low it will be fine. I'm more concerned about the dep drummer. We just call these guys in with no rehearsal. We don't play anything difficult and we expect them to fall in line. Daryl

This is the same place we did that cover of "Crossroads " Daryl

The rig is not my style. Dave, 2 years ago I would have said no thanks, I'll bring my amp. Now, anytime I can walk into a gig with a bass in my hand and my pedalboard over my shoulder I'll take it. Daryl

Maple Road Rockfield Music & Media Saturday 7-10 Germantown "Come check out the coolest living room house party around! BYOB and kick back and enjoy some up close rockin' blues! Special guest Kevin Henkel on drums for this one! " Always a good gig here. We always pack this place. I'm still concerned about dep drummers. But it is what it is. I'm not picky about backline amps anymore. Here's a Pic of the provided rig. Daryl

Dave, I'm a big fan of afternoon gigs and getting home early. That Indian take away sounds good too. Daryl

Nice pics. Looks like a fancy venue. Daryl

Hiding gigs? I would be devastated if my band did that to me. Sounds like an up front arrangement could be made. I hope everything works out. Daryl

It does look tight for space. I'm glad you guys had a good time. Daryl

Our Saturday holiday gig was cancelled. So, no gigs this weekend. I guess the venue doubled booked. I'll never understand how that happens. Daryl
