I look at it differently than some of you. At 68 and pensioned I love gigging. I'm not a fan of long hour late night bar gigs and driving home at 2:30 in the morning and we don't play those type of gigs anymore. We tapped into the lucrative upscale Brewery and Winery market with our acoustic offering. Great afternoon hours, I'm usually home by 8:00. Classy patrons as well. I kind of fell butt backwards into this type of work. Blue

Hi Raymondo, 2021 brought me the busiest gigging summer of my life. I had major surgery late October and was in the hospital for a week. I was back gigging within 3 weeks of my release from the hospital. I agree, you're duo will be busy with gigs. Most of my gigs now are for " She's Right I'm Left" the acoustic version of Maple Road. In my neck of the woods and at our level of the business it's allot more difficult to get bookings for a 4 piece rock and blues band. I'd say 80% of our 2022 gigs are acoustic. I'll be starting a thread on this growing niche, the acoustic duos and trios. Please let us know how you're acoustic gigs go. Blue

The Covid Culture is different in the States . I was in New Jersey for Christmas and I went to Wal Mart and every customer and employee had a mask on. Back here in Wisconsin nobody wears a mask except me. Blue

We played the NYE Gig at The Barley Pop in Germantown, 3:00 - 6:00. Old folks hours. This was our 3rd year playing The Barley Pop on NYE. The room was packed, great crowd. Very appreciative, nice tips. We don't have much going on in January. Blue

Hi Pete, Good to hear from you. Yeah, I like you're plan for New Years Eve. I'm in New Jersey having a blast with 2 generations of family. However, Covid has thrown a few obstacles at us. That's cool. I also play in two bands. Same members, however one offering is a 3 to 4 piece acoustic band. The other is a 4 piece electric blues rock band " Maple Road ". I've been really busy because the acoustic band is easier to book. Blue

I hope they have enough room for the bass player. We've played in small spaces and had to cut back on drums and PA gear. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Blue Jay. Blue

What are you up to this New Years Eve ? Staying home, party , gig ? Me , very low key. Gig at The Barley Pop in Germantown WI. Great hours, 3:00 - 7:00 with 15 minute commute. I should be home by 9:30. Blue
