  8. He's my "main man". Never knew what an electric bass was until I got my first Beatle record in 1963. Blue
  9. It depends on the legend. If you're disappointing your fans it might be time to stop public appearances. Paul McCartney is still delivering a high quality show. Unless your one of these guys that think they're going to see a 21 year old Paul. That's not realistic. Mick Jagger current shows speak for themselves. How does he do it is the question. Blue
  10. Thanks Sicbass, My ideal gig too. It doesn't always happen that way. Blue

  14. Wow! Nice size crowd. Blue
  15. Good to hear from you Dave and happy you are doing ok. I'm hoping to get a clean bill of health in October. Unfortunately I'm one of those guys that is dependent on gig money. My refrigerator died last week. If it weren't for gig money I wouldn't have been able to replace it and buy a new one. Not the best situation to be in. Pic is from load in yesterday. Stay in touch. Blue
  16. I'm listening to Joey too. What a loss. He passed this week. The clip is long. Blue
  17. Maple Road This Sunday 1:00- 4:00 St. Agnes Parish Festival Butler WI This was a big tent event. Ok, we used a dep drummer and it showed. Songs we're played too fast and we had allot of sloppy intros and endings. It was a long gig. I felt bad it was so humid by the last set I had to play sitting on a bar stool and they put a fan in front of me. Very embarrassing for me. Guys, see what can happen when your twice the age of everyone in the band. 4 hours with one 20 minute break. Remember when I was bragging about no more 4 hour gigs? 😒 Well, that's the story guys. Blue
  18. Hi Dave, How are you doing? We added Althea to our set list. Sounds cool. I hold a strong position on playing for free. I really don't think playing for free applies to established gigging bands. With the investment our band has put into sound and lighting playing for free is not an option or even a thought. While I'm up there playing and grinning, I also want a little money in my pocket. Plus I've never seen any of these " I don't want or need the money" guys turn the money down. Blue

  20. Playing with " good people " who are all on the same page helps. I'd never be able to find another band like the one I've been in for the last 15 years. I'm in the best band I can be in. Blue
  21. Nice job! Blue
  22. I'll be 70 in a few months , started gigging at age 12 or 13 and I'm still having a blast. However, I found a band that was a perfect match for me. Good people, good gigs and good money. I get and understand your situation. Starting a band is a big pain and very frustrating. I get the feeling you're not as " done with it" as you think yoh are. Blue
  23. Great shot! Blue
  24. Saw Gov't Mule Thursday night. "Big Time" production ( 5 tour buses and 7 Semi Trucks.)Warren's voice was fantastic and every note, riff or chord he played was hot. Blue
