  1. The Baree was a good gig. Fantastic crowd. Blue
  2. Maple Road This Saturday 7/1 @ The Baree 7:00 Thiensville Very cool upscale outdoor venue. Probably the most important gig of the summer. Blue
  3. Very nice pics ! Blue
  4. I get it. I'm not a " I don't care about the money" guy. I need my gig money to supplement my pension. I'm proud to say I was able to pay my 2023 property taxes with gig money. Blue
  5. Some of you know I recently posted a video I performed in on my socials. Except for you guys I got very little response. I even had issues getting close friends to take 2 minutes to watch the video Blue
  6. Every time someone compliments me on my tone and playing it's usually a gig where I was struggling and not playing well. Blue
  7. We're basically a 70s style rock blues band with a female front playing lead guitar. My point, we draw a baby boomer crowd. I've seen folks in their 20s simply walk out on us. Blue
  8. Successful gig. 1. Good stage volume and sound. 2. Up scale lighting and sound 3. My playing and the bands performance is hot and spot on 4. A happy respectful size engaged crowd 5. An above average pay day Blue
  9. You know, I'm 70 and single and I know it doesn't happen often but there are a few young ladies out there that like old guys. Not long ago I had a date with a very attractive 35 year old lady. Later I found out the only reason she went out with me was because she had a fascination with death. 😆 Blue
  10. Mykes, accepting a gig that we're unsuitable for is always a nightmare. Of course we're more selective regarding where we will play now. However, I have memories of bar gigs where the clientle had absolutely no interest in live music of any kind. Blue
  11. I don't quite understand how some of you have gigs within walking distance. That's impossible over here. Matter of fact when I see bass player wanted ads they'll state " must have reliable transportation " as a requirement. Blue
  12. Absolutely no public transportation in my neck of the woods. Blue
  13. That's really nice, especially at 65. Blue
  14. How old are you guys that are walking to gigs ? Blue
  15. I have to admit. I'm super spoiled at this point in time. A nice van picks me up at my door step. We don't have rehearsals. I wish we did. I won't even bring the subject up. Blue
  16. Strawberry Fest is a huge awesome annual event, thousands of attendees. We were at Weislers Restaurant who provided an upscale tent. We had a very respectful size crowd. The band was on fire though I didn't think much of how I played. 😢 Overall a good gig with a nice pay day. Blue
  17. I have to start preparing physically and mentally on Monday for a Saturday gig. Lol Seriously everybody doing outside summer shows, STAY HYDRATED! The band should have a cooler near the stage stocked with cold bottled water. Blue
  18. Beautiful promo poster ! Blue
  19. Nice gig, I'm a GK guy. The boost and woofer knobs are super responsive. Blue
  20. When I was a young guy fans didn't mean that much to me. At 70 years old fans and covered stages for outside summer gigs are now a " must have" requirement. Looks like a great fan. 👍 Blue
  21. Excellent 👍 Blue
  22. Nice set up.👍 Blue
  23. I keep the treble and bass boost switches in the middle position. Very clean and transparent. Blue
  24. Thanks It's a nice bass Dave. It's the active pre amp I'm hooked on. Daryl
  25. My primary, 1993 USA G&L ASAT bass. Blue
