  1. Was Squier CV Mustang - so nice and light and very easy to play- neck been finished with nitro and wax potted pickups done by a luthier and they have done a cracking job of making logo etc like original US - quite a dark sounding growler -pictured with flats on but now has fresh set of rounds on it - so harmonic city -  but you might want to set it up a tad - comes with padded guitar bag in a nice light grey - also original parchment pick guard too

A lovely little bass for someone

Price inc delivery or can drive about an hour of Clitheroe

  2. Another one i'm letting go as no band no need for 5 basses and i love the neck on this and the natural colour - but its just going to sit here now not getting played - so it's pretty much brand new with La Bella low tension flats on that makes it like butter

No case but still have box etc

You can see all specs on Andertons

Can deliver up to an hour from Clitheroe - postage to UK inc in price

  3. The band i've spent 7 years plugging away at has folded - so kinda feel like jacking it in - so keeping 1 maybe 2 basses and flogging 2 or 3 now

Anyway this super sexy relic started life as Squier and has been lovingly punked up by previous owner- screams Paul Simonon/Sid Vicious (maybe get a black pick guard) - it just feels old not just looks it - it's about 8lbs so not as heavy as the 70s ash body ones - neck has been refinished with amber nitro and no sharp frets and feels authentic

Nice flats on it - so does thump as well as twang - the 40th Anniversary Squier has been well received in these parts so - nice all round bass

two small issues - threaded screw on the bridge cover - i usually have this off but the other screw holds it down good - and screws on top side of case are loose - ok for transporting though and lovely looking lining - can be fixed - See pics (also screw missing from neck plate has been added now)

Can deliver within hour drive of Clitheroe - might consider slightly longer for petrol - or ParcelForce for £20

My Geddy Lee was my main live plank, but the Sire has Immediately replaced it for live duty.  The feel, the non-stick neck and the mid range punch make it the best all round live bass I've played in a long time. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine.

Feels like I’ve had this bass for a long time. Total keeper for the money - it’s quite dark sounding which I love - might try half-rounds on this instead of the la Bellas eventually

Our rhythm guitarist uses mine to cover bass duties for Losing My Religion while I play mando and he is amazed by how nice it feels in the hands. A very tactile playing experience.

Yes it’s how a bass should feel - I’m doing a low key gig tonight and am thinking of taking it instead of the Starfire to try it at a gig

I've a P5 and love it. The mid range punch is brilliant, making it an excellent live tool.

Been sat playing mine all evening- just feels great - I keep looking for faults but just finding more tone - the mids are like a P on steroids

  7. Got this today - I’ve been bass-curious about these since launch but was bit meh about colours.

Anyways - I just noticed they’ve gone and put out my fave p combination- rosewood board, natural body with that neck. So instant trigger pull after an hour watching reviews. Now I see what the fuss is about. All necks should feel like this outta the box. Sweet and chunky but not baseball bat, smooth no sticky gloss

pickups growl and seem pretty hot - need to check spec - body contour is sexy and bridge seems solid as are the heavy control knobs. Tuners are ok but probably wouldn’t swap them

I wouldn’t say it’s a Fender killer - the Am Std I just sold was better but this reminds me if the 2018ish MIM FSR PB70 Reussue I had but with no sticky neck, better pups and half the price when you add £55 for la bellas to the £419 outlay

If you’re looking for a P back up - I’d recommend this. Not had out loud yet but it’s a great deal - it feels much more premium than it’s price

  8. Howdy

Selling most of my basses - band split up and kinda not feeling it at mo - but the good thing about basses is that you can always buy more right?

It’s good as it is and pretty versatile but this would make a great mod platform, a couple of B90s and it would be awesome- strung with new GHS flats -  necks fast and good, intonation good  - and loud too - it’s crazy light - can’t feel it on a strap so good if you have bad back.

    Body: Basswood
    Neck: Maple
    Fingerboard: Rosewood
    Number of Frets: 20

    string spacing 19mm

    nut 40mm

I don't tell them anymore in case they let it slip to my Dragon, she doesn't know the half of it & I'm pretty sure it's best that it stays that way 😁

I try to explain why I had to buy but it’s pearls before swine 😁

Playability & QC issues aside, is this conversation happening partly because we all like to spend as much time looking at basses as we do playing them?

I'm guilty, if I'm in the lounge there's one in a stand to perv at & another in the bedroom! & If I'm brutally honest, there's probably more bass photos on my mobile communications device than the are kid photos (my own kids, let's not go there 😁).

    Unreal.

    These are £1,299.

I know the exchange rate isn’t great but $1299 is £1087ish Fender have been doing this in UK for a few years now seeing same £ and $ price which is another rip off unless it’s Brexit related import duty
