  3. I’ve got a Warwick 115 and it’s not crazy heavy but it’s got slots for castors already- they look like standard 11mm pole ones but I’m trying to find some that are 2-3£ each - I’ve seen music shops selling them for £40! any ideas, I’ve tried B&Q and Screwfix but no 11mm ones
  4. Electric Bass Guitar Höfner Verythin Bass HCT-500/7-SB with hard case (rrp £630 with case) was new in Sept - i miss having a Mustang - play it all the time at home, it doesnt quite fit with my band sound - this has loudest pups i've ever had on a bass - must be a german thing - tones from bright wood to downright thud axe - Macca, Ronny Laine all that stuff - set up with flats -neck straight, intonation great - I pulled trigger on a mustang - so will need to replenish funds Colour / Finish: Sunburst Technology: Semi Hollowbody Neck construction: Set in neck Strings: 4-string Scale: Short scale Scale Length: 30" (76,20 cm) Body Material: Maple Top: Figured Maple (Flame / Tiger / Curly Maple) Neck: 3 piece Maple / Mahogany Fretboard: Rosewood Fretboard Inlays: Block inlays Neck Pickup: Hofner Staple Humbuckers Bridge Pickup: Hofner Staple Humbuckers Pickup type: Humbucker Hardware: Chrome Prefer pick up from Clitheroe Lancs, but can ship for £30 extra to UK only - no trades ta
  5. PM'd you
  6. Howdy I’m Clitheroe Lancs - where are you? I can also add that the pups are much hotter that the new Fender FSR PBass. Can ship for £20 but you’re welcome to come have a try
  7. Superb Japanese Fender PBass from 1984/85 has been sold
  8. 😞 i'm selling my 66 Mustang. This is a GREAT bass, super low action, set up with La Bella Mustang flats it plays itself. All Carol Kaye/Tina Weymouth/Serge Gainsbourg thump and pluck. It cuts through. It was originally Olympic White (see pics) it's been tastefully (depending on opinion) and professionally done in a gold sparkle. The neck has all the lovely warm ageing of being 52 years old! No big dings and has Kent Armstrong pups. The only downside is the p bass routing under the scratch plate (see pics) - but this is hidden only you and I will know. Comes with non original hard case of indeterminate age Have i said lollipop tuners yet! Price includes delivery to UK - prefer PayPal - first come - first mustang heaven Thanks for looking Scott
  9. Hi All Chowny made a CHB1 into a fretless model - and i bought it in an instant - the only problem is I suck big time at fretless bass - so having tired it, this beauty of a bass needs to be somewhere were it might see a studio or gig, no just my living room (where i play it nearly everyday) I'm too long in tooth to really get to grips with fretless properly. The action is lower than anything i've ever played on and with the flats on it glissando heaven Price includes shipping to UK address - or will drive within an hour of Clitheroe Lancs to deliver Best wishes Scott
  10. yes it was a one off and took me 3 seconds to decide - i have a unlined acoustic fretless as always played fretted and i've not got the time to relearn - so bought the chowny - selling the aria
  11. this one? i got it - and i play it most days at home - they should do more
  12. Hi there I’m in Clitheroe lancs but would drive an hour in any direction to meet up think the real name is Aris Fb Fln but got nicknamed Febfluffen in here I think
  13. i gave it a try but fretless not for me, nice with flats on - 3 months had it from new - local pick up only - thanks for looking I'm based in Clitheroe Pancs but happy to drive one hour in any direction to meet up to sell it has built in pick up and tuner too - unplugged the e/f note on the g string is a little buzzy but not through amp - action super low it needs someone who got more patience than me to play without fret guides but it has improved my playing and finger positioning
  14. i bought the La bella flats for mustang and going through body the D and especially the G barely make it over the nut - the G winding is about a mm over the nut - i rang string supplier and they said they'd bring it up with La Bella rep ut havent heard anything - this was about october 17 As above yours look fine to me - Much more above nut than mine - the g is slightly damped - but i play a lot of palm mute - but hoping will get replacement strings!
  15. yes guard later and i put thumbrest on, pups are Kent Armstrong - pics of neck and neckplate are original paid £1000 with discount - so thinking 950 is about right but wanted to keep it and wasnt going to haggle over 50
  16. yes kids will do that with yer cash!
  17. yes Sibob now to get on with just enjoying it, i think what i might do is use money for another body in future and tidy this one up - i love the dakota red but also sunburst or natural - but for now feeling happy again - Nathan i sold my P Bass and Chowny bass after getting this mustang, as it kinda does the job of both for me - join the club?
  18. Seller replied very quickly and arranged a fair discount and as Sibob suggested didnt look but usually does and apologised - very good customer service . Also offered full refund but I want to keep the bass so took discount - thanks everyone for all replies. It's a good forum here!
  19. the bass sounds great but having paid full price, im not going to get that back, if i was to sell later - it's crazy prices what vintage guitars go for now - i was originally going for MIJ for around £700, then the JMJ road worn was coming out for £969 - so though 1200 for an original was a better bet - but now feel let down
  20. have sent pics to seller and see what happens - i thought the price reflected respray - description says excellent condition and no mention of routing - feel a bit sick now!
  21. do you think the plate might have just been added - btw i did mention where exactly i bought it from but seeing as it's fairly unique im sure it's been seen :-) - no mention of this routing - otherwise i wouldve thought twice - thanks for reply dude
