  1. Hello sir, what is that bass in the middle? Not seen one before. Cheers
  2. Admittedly, not all my own gear. However this is what I’m switching between at the moment, trying to find ‘my sound’. Takes ‘experimenting on a Friday night ‘ to a whole new level. Ampeg, Selmer and Ashdown belong to the studio and I’m trying them in various combinations. The Roost though, that baby’s all mine. Plsying my JC through Big Muff and RAT clone. These are constantly on and use line selector to go to clean. This is only used between songs to stop feed back. Not a traditionalist...🤗
  3. Hello! For sale my lovely Squier Precision P/J bass. I purchased this off a top fella in the North East in the summer of 2017 as a bass to help me get back playing (after years of packing it in). I have since got my hands on an Epiphone Jack Casaday and I love it. On the rare occasion that I swap basses out during playing, the sounds are too much of a variant for me not to start needing to make adjustments to my rig. As a non tech person, who just plugs in and plays, this would require a little bit of work to balance the sound of the JC and the P bass. So not something I can really be bothered, nor need, to do. Therefore I want to let this one go to a new home. The P bass is a lovely tone for the price, as expected with Squier gear. The neck is what really did it for me, the slimmer Jazz profile and satin finish are a lovely touch and the P/J PUP configuration makes it and extremely versatile little beast. It’s got a few scuffs (belt rash etc) as per usage but no significant chips or dents etc. It has served me well and is a straight up really reliable but if wood. This bass would suit a beginner (or somebody coming back to the fold), it would be a reliable back up bass or it could be a budget friendly workhorse for some righteous cats. Either way it's great value for a great price. Items I would look for trading: Decent preamp pedal short scale bass EB3 Happy to field any questions, allow for demos and send more photos etc if anybody wants to know more. I would prefer collection from North Yorkshire but can post if buyer arranges etc. However, please note I don't think I have got a box at the moment so would need to source this and therefore may be a delay to any postage. It is for sale on other places as well, so will get pulled from here if I get a sale via another method. Thanks for looking. Will
  4. Ran it with a Selmer Zodiac 100w last night. Crumbs, I was elated. Sadly this amp isn’t mine, doesn’t work fully and is entirely unpractical for my needs but was a beautiful matchup. Lots us to think about in my quest to find a perfect head match for this cab. Pure fuzz joy.
  5. Can anybody lend me £165?
  6. Crumbs, I really want an orange terror bass. Annoyingly The world is conspiring against me. Good luck, this is an excellent set up.
  7. 1x15
  8. Wow! Just picked this cab from Roost in Cleckheaton. I tried to look for an off the shelf solution for my live sound but was unable to find that thing that was me. Also I wanted something, so took a punt contacting theses guys. I knew they were producing guitar cabs but not bass so asked them and the said they would build one for me. A bit of a punt, but well worth it. Went to pick it up this afternoon of Errol (the cabinet maker) and the craftsmanship, the sound and the 'smug local artisan purchase' feeling are out of this world. Gets a debut live appearance this Sunday via a few different musical style, but can not wait till my bass is driving the immense fuzz low end through this bad boy. Anybody know much about them or the history of Roost?
  9. Bargain! I have just purchased an Ebony one last month. If I had a spare 450 clams knocking about I would have this one too. I'm now not sure i'd ever go back to a solid body bass, feedback aside.
  10. Stunning bass. I have full on fallen in live with Epiphone after being a Squire and fender style purist. Out if my budget and geographic range , sadly, someone would be getting an amazing bit of gear if the go for this. Good luck
  11. Working Nottingham(this week and next)/Derby(this week)/Coventry(End of September)/Essex at the mo so could meet up for buyers in those areas.
  12. I’ve got serious craving for a Jack Casady so this needs to go to make room.
  13. No interest? Need to shift this to make a purchase.
  14. Is this still available? How did the crack come to be?
  15. Offers invited. looking for a couple of 1x15 compact cabs to match with a Ampeg PF 350.
  16. I’m no Facebooker either but I’ll get the divas to check him out. Cheers!
  17. Hello you lovely people, Has anybody got any recommendations for either reliable promoters or venues that deal with bands directly in the places above? My band is looking for gigs and will play anywhere if we can make it work. We are a fuzzy punk band in our mid to late 30's and not looking for fame or rock n roll excess , we are just looking to play our fast loud set and go home. Is there a sticky anywhere for promoters or venues? I can't see one but I could be looking at the wrong forum! (always happy to be corrected) We are based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire so Leeds, York, Teeside, Sheffield, Huddersfield, Bradford, Wakefield etc are all easy for us but we will look to play further afield if we could make it work. Anyway, if anyone has any recommendations (other than give up!), It would be really rad. Will
  18. Here's e.p.1 from misery bids. This is my first foray into playing and recording after many years without playing. I bit of a labour of love mine, I wrote the first two tracks (music) and my hombres, Jim and Dave, made them good and did the lyrics. Influenced by Fugazi, Trail of dead, Dinosaur Jr, Husker Du, Hot Water Music. https://miserybids.bandcamp.com/releases Enjoy, its free.
  19. It’s half temping to make the 150 mile journey at this price. Somebody could be getting a bargain, I’d have it if I was closer.
  20. Poppa needs a new amp style bump.
  21. Oh my ❤️❤️❤️ I know now nothing about these amps and have been so long out of the game I wouldn’t know where to start with matching cabs. However, aesthetically and in terms of coolness, that is one sexy amp. Id be tempted but I’m sure it’ll go before I’ve dithered on it.
  22. Bump it baby. Open to other trades. 1x15 Cabs and good amps.
  23. Nice bump there. Open to other trades, heads micro or guitar one I can play with bass? Cabs? 4 string Basses? Or anything else that makes me sound like Lou Barlow...
  24. PRICE DROP BUMP £240. If I don't sell will keep for playing at home. Willing to trade for amps too.
