  1. @James Nada And?? Don't keep us hanging James!
  2. As a matter of interest what're you expecting, on stage, from a 15W amplifier?
  3. Find whatever microphone suits the singer's voice and stick with it.
  4. I came across the AER amps a few years ago. Finding out how much they cost was daunting so say the least. LOL
  5. Personally I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole!!! The seller says it is a Trace 4x10 but it's not. It's just four Trace drivers and possibly a crossover stuck in a weird box. The tweeter looks like a Piezo to me. As has been mentioned all the parameters that make a successful speaker system have not been met. Once you buy it you're stuck with it! I feel that your 120 Quid would be better spent on something else. Edit: Meaning no offence but remember the axiom: A fool and his money are soon parted!
  6. I use the 2x10 format, Acme, but found that one just didn't handle the Low B of my sixes at the volume I wanted. The result was a second cabinet stacked on top of the first for a vertical 4x10. The result was sublime.
  7. Add a fan to the back of the case to improve air flow to keep the amp cool. A 2U case doesn't provide a lot of space for air flow.
  8. @John mcculloch Punctuation would make your post more readable in this necro thread! Try linking the Send and Return of the Effects Loop, assuming it has one, with a short signal cable as used between pedals. These jacks tend to corrode and not pass the signal constantly through to the rest of the amp.
  9. I bought an 800RB via Ebay that needed servicing. What arrived was a pile of junk. Blown power amp, chassis parts missing. Naturally the seller was no longer on the site so I was stuck. I decided that all I could salvage was the pre-amp. I intend to drive one of my other power amps with it. One day I'll get round to doing the conversion work! LOL
  10. Break a string!!
  11. As just about every mixer out there provides Phantom power there's no difference in actual use. You just plug in the microphone cable and you're off to the races.
  12. Try turning the cover through 180 degrees and see if it fits better that way.
  13. I've not found that to be so. A pair of good 4x10s produce more lows than any 15 + 4x10.
  14. Just popped in to reiterate that a 1x15 is a terrible pairing with a 4x10. The 1x15 will not handle the power that that the 4x10 would cruise with and the 4x10 will be able to produce more lows than a single 15.
  15. Just to say I'm sorry for the loss of your Dad. I miss mine so much!
  16. I bought a pair of Acme B2 two ten three way cabinets. Putting a Low B through them at volume was so delightful I bought another pair! Standing in front of them driven by 2000W is an experience I recommend to any bass player.
  17. Once you've played a six there are no other trix! LOL
  18. I'm sorry but all I got was a blur. Maybe take another photo and post it.
  19. If you mean that the amp is Class D then it is not in anyway "Digital."
  20. Bob, I trust your issues are now behind you. Stay well. Bilbo, I understand that Mark's equipment is good but I find them somewhat garish! That said I hope you enjoy your ownership.
  21. I found the best way for me was to attach the casters to a piece of 3/4" ply covered with a piece of carpet thus creating a wheeled dolly. A length of seat belt from a scrapped car allows me to pull the dolly quite easily. The dolly also proved very useful for other moving events.
  22. Upload the photo here so we can identify what it is. (Hopefully :D)
