Mmm! Pretty decent track. Loved the early stuff, never a great fan of the 80s albums but thats what bands did in the 80s. Back on form for me anyway. Seen em live and they are spot on so a 5 stars, cant wait to hear the rest of the album.

I had these in my trace V6 with 2 other kts when I first bought it,the guy who sold it to me said they were out of a Sound city 200,they certainly look like Gec,s 2 side getters and one top getter, just fired em in my trace V4 and they work perfectly and the bias only needed a slight tweek from the brand new JJs, If I was sure they Gec's they would sell for over 100quid each but would let em go for £150 for the 4,would prefer collection but would post insured of course.

I had these fitted in my Trace V6 for less than an hour,so really as new they came as a matched sextet, but each pair has slightly different numbers,I sold the trace with some nos ge6550s so these are really surplus to requirements, think Hotrox charge about £75 for a matched pair so was thinking of £50 a pair and they are bench run in,would prefer pick up but would post for about a tenner insured. Looking to move on this cab as I acquired it for services rendered. Awesome sounding 300 watt trace cab,2 x 150w 10" drivers, one has been replaced with a genuine trace unit,2x5" horns as used in the bright boxes, rear attenuator for the horns, also 2 front ports.Corners and handles a bit rusty and a few scuffs in the tolex but its 22 years old, looking for bout £160 ono,can courier to uk mainland but its quite heavy so would be around 20 squid.
Was Iron Maiden two-fingers? I'd always thought it was three - mindst you, it's horses for courses. Youo've got to play the stuff, so you've got to play it with a technique which is both achievable and sounds right.
I used to think he was 3 when I was learning Phantom then are guitarist pointed out he used 2 ( He is a massive Maiden fan ) Of course I argued the point then he showed me this. About 1.55 mind you its all worth a watch, lol
Circa 1980. Handmade Shergold Marathon 4 string Bass .. - with Stereo facility. Cherry red body, Maple neck Lively Pickups. I've had this since new, played everything from Punk through Funk to trad Jazz..{Anything that paid ! } It was really well gigged in the early years - and there are numerous scratches and dings on the body only.. but nothing that affects the playability. The Maple neck is in great shape and is really super slick and fast, no major fretwwear, Solid Chrome Tuners..holds it's tune fine A really good quality bass with a great action and versatile - for those looking for something just a bit different.. Battered Fender hardcase included..
Can I ask where you read pickups are DiMarzio?
On the Matsumoku website,Under the Vantage forum. Says they were made under licence.Sorry should have put allegedly! There were a few basses from that era with em fitted.I remember taking some out of a late seventies Hondo.I could be wrong. -
Uber rare Vantage. Proper 24 fret thru neck, lovely fret markers. All brass knobs and hardware, double P Dimarzio's. The active circuit is similar to the Westone thunder 3 which I had and the neck like a Aria SB elite.Only thing that dosnt work is the led telling you the active is on. Non original parts are the truss rod cover, one brass tone sweep knob ( But nearly matches ) and I had to replace one of the toggle switches due to end snapping. Plays great, low action and has a array of sounds from the active circuit. The control knobs are Volume, tone and active sweep. Small toggles are active, phase and tap. ( I think ) Plus large toggle for Pup selections. There are a few chips in the laquer on the edges but not too bad for a 31 year old bass. Cant really gauge price as never seen one for sale but comparable to the above guitars so around, price drop £375ono I guess. Sorry for the poor pics
If valve production depended on musicians then it would have stopped 30 years ago!!
Yeh,cause theres been no valve amps made in the last 30 years! Lol. No,seriously,Even if valve amp production ceased in 20 years with thousands of amps and pre amps made every year using valves, production of valves wont stop, let alone for the hundreds of thousands in the used market. Supply, demand and profit!

Can't see valve production stopping in my lifetime!Only when musicians aren't needed anymore. The day it happens is the day Fender stop making Strats,Jazzes and P's,well IMO!
