Folks, now is probably a good time to announce that due to unforseen circumstances, the release of my fantastic new song, "Bernadette", has been delayed

We've got a rehearsal tomorrow night so I'll give it a go. 80-90% of the time will be on the vintage channel, but we've got a couple of rockier ones that I may try using the overdrive channel

Clearly the Tonehammer 500 was too convenient: plenty of power and a nice tone in a package that fits comfortably in a small rucksack. So, it's new amp day, and along has come a Fender Bassman 800. Looking forward to trying it out on anger at the weekend rehearsal. In the meantime, if you want a Tonehammer 500 or EBS Reidmar 250, there are some nice ones in the classifieds

Going back to the click thing, we did use one and the engineer enforced it ruthlessly. It gave our drummer a tough time, but it made day two so much easier

Hi, thanks for asking. Pretty much everything I was told on here was correct and useful. I made more playing mistakes in the first hour than I had in the previous year, but settled into it and ended up not having to redo any of my parts (guitar and vocals can't say that). Will need to get the six songs we recorded and mixed over the three days on to Bandcamp.
