Works really well with the Bartolini pickups. Tonal range on this bass is awesome and the selector switch is great for dialling in the required mid profile. Few dings and scratches which I have tried to show in the pictures but still a great instrument. Washburn Status Mercury series bass. It features Status pickups in a jazz configuration which sound amazing, ranging from a low end thump to a bright tone. Signature Status sound with Status active electronics (the exact same circuitry and pups as found on the Washburn Status headless bass) Has a Tonewood insert at the bottom of the Rosewood neck. It was a top of the range instument, with an RRP of £600 back in 1993 The hardware is gold diecast and is all in great condition. A professional upgrade which has really opened up the sound of the stock select pickups.[/font][/color]

Really sorry to see this one go but have my eye on something else. It is a fantastic bass and extremely hard to get hold of these days. Looks great and a real pleasure to play. The EMG pickups with 18v Active circuit sound amazing and have a wide range of sounds available via the EQ. The bass is in excellent cosmetic condition and the graphite neck is in great shape. It has a truss rod for adjustment. Manufactured in the USA 1990's. Serial number is stamped into the graphite neck. Complete with Gigbag and Hardcase which will be used for shipping. Insured shipping which I can do in the UK for £25. Here is some info I found online regarding the bass.... [i]Lighter version 2 XQ4 Steinberger. It has a more sculpted shape, closer to the NS2 Spector, its made out of Ash, so its WAY lighter and has a warmer sound. This has the Moses Steinberger blend neck which is thinner and has truss rod for adjustment.
