  1. Shouldn't that dots be there from the first finish then? Never noticed those dots before on a Sabre.
  2. It's a solid layer, no grain to be found there. I'll make a Pic of the neckpocket later today. Other sunburst I've seen were all based on a semi transparant finish.
  3. Pretty much I think. I've seen a 79 date stamp and there might have been another one. I forgot to take some pictures as I just wanted to verify it's age in the first place. I might take the neck off again this weekend for further inspection.
  4. Thanks for the replies so far, interesting to hear. The light makes the red more flamboyant than how it actually looks, but it's a vivid burst indeed. If it's a refin, it must have been done ages ago :). I just screwed the neck back on, it has spray from the sunburst on the sides of the pocket.
  5. I´ve used reverb a few times to sell some stuff, and it feels reliable to me. I had a few questions when I was new and about to make my first sale, and I have experienced that their customer support is well reachable and actually willing to help you. It is very personal compared to eBay. Apparently ID is needed when sales reach a certain ammount, as I found out through some google searching. I provided them, as I needed to do that for payout... I dont mind the selling fees that much, as I still got a better price for some stuff than I could get through other platforms.
  6. Hi There, Ive just purchased a beautiful 1979 Music Man Sabre with a sunburst finish. It appears that the body had been finished in white blonde at first, and got a sunburst overspray later on. Was this common at Music Man, or is it most likely a aftermarket refinish? This Sabre has an alder body. I always thought they all came with (heavy) ash bodies, so I was surprised to find one that is pretty light. It is definitely more resonant too than I remember from the ash bodied ones. Cheers

  8. EBS Reidmar head Lovely piece of EBS kit. This Reidmar is light in weight, but it sounds great and goes very loud! The amp is in very good shape, without damages, and of course it works like it should. A european plug power chord can be included if needed. I´m selling this Reidmar as well as my EBS Fafner, as I´ve bought some other stuff recently to try something different, and I see no reason for keeping 4 great heads around Asking €250,00 (approx 225gbp) The amp is located in the Netherlands. It is a light amp, so could be shipped easily. I also have 2 EBS 112cl cabs (at €225 each) that are available for sale, but they are probably to expensive to ship.
  9. Hi There. Just got a message from reverb that they need a image of my photo ID for verification. Have made a few sales earlier, and they never asked for it. Is this safe? Cheers Patrick
  10. Guild S60D Lovely electric Guild from 1978. This guitar sounds great and plays smoothly with a low action. It has a lovely neck. Pictures: As you can see, the guitar has collected a lot of small damages in its 40 years of existence. A wing of the headstock has been broken once, but repaired ages ago and stable since. The hardcase pictured is not included in the sale, simply because the guitar doesn't fit in it. The guitar will be well packed for shipping though. Price: €750 (which is about £680 nowadays) Shippingcosts (fully insured) will be €50,00 to most countries.
  11. Pricedrop to €1.450 (= approx £1.330)
  12. Thanks. I ordered a set of 6L6GC meanwhile which should be right :).
  13. Come on, you only live twice! Near offers, partial trades.... A lot is possible ladies and gentlemen! Tnx☺️
  14. Music Man Stingray 30th Anniversary Up for sale is a great Stingray. It's a 30th anniversary model from 2006. Apparently these are scarce, as only 783 were produced. The body is made of mahogany, which is unusual for a Music Man. The neck is made of a high grade figured maple. Stunning! The body and neck are completely finished in a transparent crimson red. Picture time: Its a great, open sounding Ray. I've had a few and played a bunch, and this is definitely one of the best sounding I've encountered. It even sounds great with dead strings! The Ray is in good shape. It has its user marks, but nothing serious. It's mostly surface scratching and a dent at the bottom. The original tolex hardcase is included. The bass is now fitted with fresh DR fat beams. Asking €1.550 (which is around £1395 nowadays) The bass is located in the Netherlands, but could be shipped fully insured within europe/UK. Reasonable cash offers and partial trades are considered. No 1-1 trades, unless you have a vintage mustang bass to offer.
  15. Just weighed the bass. My kitchen scale says it's 3,8 kilo's.
  16. Well, buy that additional 410! 😉
  17. You'll be fine with the 210, if you play at moderate volume. But a 4x10 with the amp running at 2ohms will of course give you a little more Nothing wrong with those Peavey 410s (tvx, txf), and they're cheap!
  18. Hi you lovely people! I've purchased an old HD-150 head with the matching 212rh cabinet. The amp hasn't been used for a while, so I will have it checked before using in my band (of course I did a test run, and it sounds great with my Gibson Ripper!) . As the tubes are old, I'll replace them for a fresh start. The tubes mounted now are Sylvania STR387. On the net, there is a lot to read about tubes in this amp. Thing is that I read different things; some people say they use 6L6, and others say you need 6L6GC type tubes that take higher voltage. Anyone knowing the truth here? 🙂 Also, I have an additional question: On the back of the amp is a label that says the speaker outputs are wired in series. Does this mean I can connect 2 4Ohm cabs when setting the amp at 8Ohm? the 212RH should be 4, which means I could add another one if it might pop up at one time.
