  1. Still for sale? Sorry I don't have a jazz neck for trade (they do seem to be the most sought after to replace the P bass neck), but if you're ok taking PayPal and can ship your neck, I'd be interested. Thanks! Gunnar
  2. Recently purchased this lovely American Special P Bass from bassface23 here on Basschat. It was my second successful deal with him. However, as much as I do REALLY love this bass, my band really thinks I should stick with my Casady bass as it just has "the" sound I need for the 60's music we play. The P bass is equally as good for our sound, but the Casady just brings a different tone that I prefer.....and I can only play one bass....hence the sale of this great bass. I've added a tortoise scratch plate (which is the law with a sunburst/rosewood P bass in my opinion). It also includes the original white scratch plate, original deluxe gig bag, schaller strap locks (and original strap pins) and LaBella flat wounds. Other than that it's all original. These American Specials have the graphite reinforced rods in the neck as well. Collection from West London (TW11) or I can post no problemo as I have a Fender bass box ready to go. Paypal preferred for payment. I'm also selling brand new Fender '62 custom shop pick ups if interested in adding them to the deal. Link to dropbox photos: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/4wvbkfyx3dzdvs0/AAAhEu93lPCBlmtUDl8iIZ3qa?dl=0 Specs: Here's a new take on a classic bass. Fender's American Special Precision Bass kicks off a new decade of Fender basses with the latest in U.S.-made quality and value. An ultra-fast and comfortable Slim C-shape maple neck and lightweight alder body make the American Special Precision Bass one of the most playable basses out there. A traditional split single-coil P Bass pickup puts out plenty of tone, and Fender's amazing Greasebucket tone circuit lets you ease off the highs and still get punchy and powerful lows. Top it all off with Fender's high-gloss finish, and the American Special Precision Bass looks just as good as it sounds. Color: 3-Tone Sunburst with High Gloss Finish Body Material: Alder Neck: Maple with Slim "C" shape Neck Finish: Satin urethane finish Fretboard: Rosewood Fretboard radius: 9.5" Frets: 20, medium jumbo Scale length: 34" Nut width: 1.625" String nut: Synthetic bone Truss rod nut: 3/16" adjustable hex nut Pickup: Split single-coil P Bass pickup Controls: Volume, Greasebucket tone circuit (rolls off highs without adding bass) Hardware: Chrome Tuning keys: Standard Bridge: Standard Vintage 4 Saddle Bass Strap buttons: Vintage style strap buttons Control knobs: Knurled chrome P Bass knobs Pickguard: 3-Ply Parchment Case: Deluxe gig bag included
  3. My JC bass is my go to bass. Love it. This is a heck of a bargain. If you all don't know how fantastic these basses are it's time you tried one!
  4. Very good condition Kala U Bass. Purchased for an acoustic trio project that never materialised, so for sale. It's basically brand new. No gig bag, but will come well packed including original Kala box. Located Teddington TW11, but shipping is fine too. As is Paypal. 5. Curious what the front of the headstock looks like? Name? Thanks!
  6. That's pretty beat up for being 2 months old!😅 But in all seriousness, I love that shell pink. I played one in a shop and loved the feel and the tone. Good luck with the sale.
  7. Sure thing. I have a box ready to go and pack basses often.
  8. Nice condition Gibson Faded Cherry (2012) SG bass. Includes Dimarzio DP 120 neck pickup and Hipshot Ultralight (import) tuners. The DP120 gives the bass so much more clarity then the original mud bucker. The Hipshot tuners also solve the neck dive issues (along with a stream pin at the horn). Original Grover tuners and pick up included in the sale as well as original hang tags and paperwork, plus truss tool. It's strung with d'Addario Chrome flat wounds and sounds and plays amazing. I'm simply using my Jack Casady now and it's a shame to have this not being loved. BTW, the original tuners will of course cover the additional single hole drilled for the Hipshot tuners if that is something bothers you., also, strap pins are Schaller. I also have a Hipshot bridge that would fit this nicely if interested. Shipping is AOK and Paypal works too. Local of course is cool as well. Can play it through my amp no problemo. £450 Shipped UK https://www.dropbox.com/sh/vkraszdejz3efya/AABnpoJGHn1Tvzg2oc0VvI1Ga?dl=0
  9. Sorry! No trades. And I'm based in Teddington (TW11)
  10. Somebody needs to buy this darn bass already. In case you all don't know, this is one of the best sounding basses out there. If I didn't have one, I would have this. This is a good deal.
  11. This was my main bass for many months...until I started preferring my Casady for my 60's cover band. I've been hanging on to it because I honestly have not had a P Bass that sounds or feels better (and I've owned plenty of nice P basses!). This was put together by The Brig here on this site, and if follow what he builds and sells you'll know it's some good stuff. The neck is jazz width (Allparts) but with a nice deep back to it. For me it fits like a glove. It also has (import) hipshot ultra light tuners which balances the bass nicely. The body is a genuine Fender (Alder) replacement body. Pick Ups are Custom Fender Custom Shop '62 (Fantastic sound out of these). Scratch guard is gold anodised which of course gives the bass that classic 50's look. Bridge is high mass (not sure of the make) Hardware has been slightly aged to take the sheen off and give the bass more of a classic look. Cavity's has been fully shielded and grounded. Weight: 3.73kg (8.2 lbs) Strap buttons are Schallers. And I also forgot to mention that one of the scratch plate screw holes doesn't line up and the screw is held in with blue tack. 12. Another Mustang on the blocks. Great bass, but I'm now using my Jack Casady now. I refinished this one with 2 light coats of fiesta red nitro paint. Not a perfect refinishing job, but it's a gigging bass, so if you're not too worried about a pristine finish, then this is your bass, if your particular about finish, maybe this isn't for you. I've also aged the hardware a bit to take the shine off of it....includes bridge ashtray cover as well. It's also copper shielded throughout as well as a new wiring harness. Will come strung with a set of long scale Chromes I've cut down to short scale (not whats pictured). Happy to ship it mainland UK for £450. Comes with gig bag. Paypal OK as is local pick up/try out. 13. I also have a custom Fiesta Red PJ Mustang I may be listing.....more GLWTS!
  14. Brand new Surf Green Fender P/J Mustang Bass. Just brought this in from the States. Brand new, unplayed (but tested). Pau Ferro fretboard. As far as I know, this colour is only available in the States and not on this side of The Pond.Who doesn't love surf green????! I got this to compliment my other Fender P/J Mustang, but I find that my new Jack Casady is getting things done better for the 60's cover band I'm in, so no use having this bass collect dust. Happy to do local sale, but prefer Paypal. Will ship mainland UK using Parcel Force. £475 will get 'er shipped to your door. 100% positive feedback over on Talkbass (see Studio GC), also many successful transactions here on Basschat. 15. https://www.gak.co.uk/en/epiphone-premium-solidbody-bass-guitar-gigbag/901767?gclid=Cj0KCQjwzcbWBRDmARIsAM6uChXEJdgk9DgYwNumbLS9dIBSGkk3yvEuTlttcfLvVWZ825E-r4XyvuYaAthGEALw_wcB I use this one. Little bit of a tight fit to get the zipper over the widest part of the body, but not too bad. Nicely padded and plenty of room for straps, cables etc.
  16. I did drill new holes for the new bridge, not sure about the music man bridge? thanks for looking!
  17. Yep, still a Squier as it states in the listing.
  18. Hey Prowla, go prowl around another chat forum....and also read the description on the upgrades. Have a good evening!
  19. £200 is a good deal for what is basically a Mustang with the bonus of upgraded pickups.....
  20. Monday bump before it goes over to eBay.
