  1. Nice. Looking forward to the pics.....
  2. G'day all......... It's high time I said hello properly. I started playing bass at college in 1993. A mate had an electric guitar and after teaching me some riffs on it, we decided I should get a bass. That was it. I've never looked back. I've done lots of jamming and recorded some loops and stuff in a few make-shift studios but never been in a band, properly. I worked in and out of the country for years and there was never an opportunity really. I had a car accident a few years back and I spent the entire compensation money on a 1967 Jazz Bass. That then started me on a little journey collecting basses I'd always wanted to play. Lately I've been learning the chords on an accoustic guitar and getting well into that too. I recently bought a Mesa Walkabout, which is beautiful and surprisingly for me, an Ashdown Mag 300, which sounds gorgeous. It was £100. This website and you guys have been an amazing source of inspiration and knowledge to me and I wish I'd joined it a lot earlier. A belated Happy New Year to you all. Chewie

  10. 1972 Fender precision in natural finish Nut width, 42mm. B profile neck. 4.2kg including the covers. 100% original. Original scratchplate shown in the final images. I think this was a studio bass. It's in lovely condition. There are a couple of little dings and the faintest beginning of buckle rash but they're difficult to photograph. There is a typical crack on the scratchplate next to the imput jack. The case is absolutely time warp condition. It's dazzling inside. Quite amazing really. No keys though. The neck is stamped 1972 as are the pickups and pots. Truss rod works perfectly. Neck pocket is nice and snug too. Beautiful sounding bass. Tons of tone. Located in sunny Swindon. Anybody is welcome to visit and spend a few hours inspecting and playing this lovely bass. Trades-wise, I could be interested in anything 1969, which is my YOB.

  15. Bugger. You’re welcome to have a play on it with no strings attached. Fellow Swindoner. Pardon the pun. Youre not Roger Haworth formerly of Highworth?
