2.
nice looking bass! one importent thing to know about 5stringers is the schale lenght,(34.34,5.35)some like the low wibrating- some like that B string swings, just like e a d g , and clear as posibol, diferent taste. how is the B , on this baby?
Yeah you're right i forgot to mention the scale length. Thanks. Scale is 35 inches, I'd say the B sings pretty well equal to the other strings. I've been running the bass in passive mode and the B works well also.
 3. Up for sale is my Shuker Jazz 5 Sting. I bought this a few months back from Hamster. Sadly, as nice as this bass is, I need to sell it simply because I need the cash…. so no trades please. This is the J Elite model, top of the range with a seven piece bolt on neck. See specs on Shuker website http://www.shukergui...co.uk/jspec.htm This instrument plays and sounds as you would expect a premium custom instrument to. It has 24 frets, weighs around 3.75kg on my inaccurate bathroom scales, but I consider it nice and light for a 5 string. String spacing at the nut between strings is: 10.5mm String spacing at the bridge between strings: 18.5mm Scale length is 35 inches The Body is Ash with a flame maple top, Rosewood board, maple neck with Wenge laminates (I think?) Bartolini Pickups, and a East J Retro Deluxe active/ Passive circuit. http://www.east-uk.com/ for details. Stings are used but have plenty of life left in them Condition is good, apart from a small ding the size of a match head on the upper edge (see pic) apart from that just few minor scratches to the rear of the body and some scuffs at the tip of the head stock all can be buffed out easily. Neck p-up cover has some string marks on it. [s]I’m looking for £750, which is what I paid for it.[/s] Price drop to £700 I'm based in Macclesfield Cheshire. 7.
bump
Thanks for your interest, but the DJ5 or possibly the Jerry Scheff is the only Lakland that i'm interested in. Do you have a Fender PJ you are selling? I might be interested in that. Cheers
 8.
The youtube link at the bottom isn't working.
Ah, that was intentional! 9.
Have a look in the classifieds section, though you may struggle a little to get 100 watts for that much.
I reckon you could find something like an old Peavey TNT, Laney, OHM, Carlsbro - they might be old, bulky even a bit smelly! But sound ok, the electronics etc are pretty easy to maintain in these amps too. Good Look.
 10. I was so sad to hear about the recent passing of British bass legend Mick Karn, my thoughts are with his family and friends. His fretless bass playing has inspired me as much as Jaco. I regret not seeing Mick Karn live, I was going to see him at a gig in Manchester about 6 years ago. Sadly the tour was cancelled. Over the last few days i've been listening to all things Karn which inspired me to transcribe a few of his bass riffs! I've presented them in standard notation which you can download on PDF off my website. Visit My Website The riffs/lines are off: Tribal Dawn - Bestial Cluster - Visions Of China - Sons Of Pioneers - Dalis Car Please accept the condition that these transcriptions are for educational use only. enjoy...let me know what you think, hopefully there ar'nt too many mistakes.... mickkarn.net is still accepting donations. All the best for 2011 Ollie Karn, Jensen, Barbieri clip on youtube
 11. Mick was an inspiration to many. He played the fretless bass in such a unique way, incomparable to the great Jaco Pastorius. He will be sadly missed. RIP Mick Karn.
 12.
Well you have your pics guys! Harveyn
Check the scale length Harvey - looks more like a 30inch scale the way the bridge is set 1/3 way in to the body. You have attracted a lot of attention with this post... I think most of us here are courious as to arrived at your asking price. I've got a 34 scale Jaydee series 2 strung as a piccolo.............Does that mean I can sell it for about £5000?!

 16.
Me too. Luke you might not be doing yourself a favour by linking to the MTD site. When I had the Bass, I had a Bart pre-amp installed, so the electronics should be better than the stock MTD ones, especially with the selectable Mid switch. Great Bass and sound awesome. Here's the original thread when i first sold it. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...mp;hl=BassBunny
And me too.........I owned the bass before bassbunny. It was just the stock bass when I had it. Nice player - I bet its really good now with the Bart installed. Good luck with the sale.
