  1. This is one of the most famous effects units that were made in the 70´s. The Compact Phasing "A" was made in Berlin by Gerhardt Schulte, and this thing has been extensively used by Krautrock bands and electronic musicians not only in Germany: Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, Oskar Sala, Jon Lord, Rubycon, J.M. Jarre, Pink Floyd... It´s possible to use it in a very subtle way, but it´s more interesting when you play with the knobs to get more deep, dramatic and esoteric tones. Also, the huge knobs go to 11, and the "Berlin bear" is featured on the back. This is the rare black version. It´s in very good condition and comes with the original footswitch that is essential. It doesn´t bypass the effect, it slows down and stops the modulation, to get Leslie-like brake sounds as you can start and stop the LFO with it. A copy of the original german manual and schematics is included. GBP 650 or 850 EURO The price is plus shipping. I´m in Berlin and can ship worldwide.

  3. I added some soundfiles as some people might not know what a P without frets is good for. 4. I haven´t played this one for years as i became a Precision Bass addict, but i just put some Thomastik flats on it to get rid of some of the strong active highs, and now really begin to like it again. I think it´s a 1977, and it definitley is greenish faded inca silver. I don´t even have a pic of the whole bass, which reminds me i need to make some pics of all of my basses.
  5. A rare neck in very good condition. The green neck stemp is faded, but the last digits 03 71 B are readable. This neck came from a Precison with 3140XX serial and 71 pot codes. I put a fretted rosewood neck on it, so the fretless neck can go. It looks like it has been played mostly with flat wounds, there are no strong marks on the clear poly finish of the fingerboard, just very light ones. I cleaned it and gave it a very light polishing job, the condition is very flat and even without the usual string marks. The trussrod works fine, the back of the neck is perfect with no marks. The sound is a bit brighter compared to the usual rosewood fretless boards, even slapping sounds good. I´m in Berlin, and i can ship worldwide. GBP 420 EUR 533,-
  6. I also love the JV instruments, they are a greta deal, and i had a few of them. Interesting neck date, mine always had the actual production year 82 up to 84, and not the year the original 50s model was made.
  7. Is this the genuine Fender US made part? If so i would like to buy it. Do you have a pic from the back? Thanks!
  8. Does the active circuitry require a 9V battery (i don´t see a battery clip), and does it fit under the pots? Thanks and GLWTS!
  9. I had a few of these, and also a JV Jazz. My last olympic white JV PB i sold a few weeks ago as i´m raising funds for another old PB. These JVs are very fine instruments, especially the PBs are very light, and the quality is outstanding.
  10. I´m new here, but as the german speaking bass forum is so little (actually it´s based in switzerland) mayby i´m better off here! Obviously i have no feedback as this is my first post and my first listing, but i´m on ebay germany under the same nickname for many years, maybe that helps. Anyway, this is what i have to sell (you can right click the pics to open them in high resolution): My all black fretless rosewood P Bass. The pickups are dated 78, the pots 77, the neck 79, so everything fits including the serial. Everything is genuine and in good condition, no extra holes or other modifications, i even have the original case incl. the hangtag and manual. The neck is especially nice on this one. The bass has almost exclusively been played with flat wounds, there are no markings or wear on the fretboard. The trussrod works fine, the back of the neck is perfect. I have some fat Fender flats 55-105 on as i was going for a kind of upright sound with this bass. Even with these fat strings the bass starts to sing all over the fretboard, it just depends on how low the strings are set, a flat string height is defintely possible. The thick poly finish is in good condition, there are no major marks, no buckle wear on the back, just some average scratches and signs of use as this bass has been played. The only thing missing is the plastic thumbrest, the chrome covers are included. The weight is 4,6 kg, it´s a bit on the heavy side, but for a late 70s ash body PB it´s about average. 1800€ 1400£ I´m in Berlin, Germany, personal pickup welcome. Shipping is no problem, but i need to check the rates incl. insurance depending on where you are. Thanks! Niels
