  1. £ 399 EUR 450,- An original fretless P neck with rosewood fretboard. The S87 serial dates it to about 1979. It´s complete with the original tuners and string tree. The neck is in overall good condition. I played it for a while on a newer US Precision. With my chromes flatwounds the neck is fully straight, there was no need to adjust the trussrod. But the trussrod works if you need it for thicker strings with more tension. There are some small marks on the rosewood from storage, but nothing that interferes with playing, there are no marks where the strings touch the fretboard. The rosewood seems to be untouched and unpolished. It looks like it has been played mostly with flat wounds, there are no strong string marks on it. The back of the neck is perfect with no marks. I´m in Berlin, and i can ship worldwide.

    feedback for Deedee

I just sold my Spector NS-2A to Dan. It was very pleasent to deal with him, everything went well... thank you Dan!
  6. I just found this ad on ebay Kleinanzeigen Germany: https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/music-man-musicman-stingray-bass-bj-1987-usa/786012010-74-8966 As an inca silver sting from 79 was my main instrument for years, I find this interesting... but not enough to buy it. Maybe someone here is interested? I´m not affiliated with the seller in any way, but I could help in case the guy doesn´t speak english. :-)
  7. GBP 600 / EUR 685 A genuine German vintage Höfner, the pots date it to the year 1970. It´s one of the very rare 500/1 M series with active eletronics, the M stands for Mix. It comes with original case and some old extra strings. The handle on the case is lost and replaced with a leather belt. The neck is very nice, there are no problems with the neck setting. Cosmetically the bass is in very good condition. There are two problems with this bass. First, there´s a hole drilled into the top between the string holder and the volume knob, please check the pics. Second, most of the electrics don´t work. The only sound it makes comes from the neck pickup, this sounds deep and loud as it should and brings the typical Beatles "Come Together" tone. The best idea might be to connect the pickups directly to the knobs and pickup selector switch in passive mode, this should be easy. I don´t even know what exactly the active Mix mode did, there´s not a lot of info available. If you want to put it back into the original condition with active mode, I´m sure the Höfner company can help as they have a very customer friendly service. It should be possible to get the original electronics layouts from them. I´m in Berlin, shipping is no problem. Please click on the pics to see them in high res.!
  8. Another step down... Now it´s GBP 500,-

  10. £1500 / EUR 1700 The codes on pickups and pots match with the serial and dates it to 1978. In 40 years it has seen a lot of playing and gigging, but most of the thick black poly finish is still on. The neck is straight, the bullet trussrod works fine, the back of the neck is perfect. It´s possible to adjust it to a real low action if that´s what you need. Luckily he kept the original parts, so after I bought the bass I put back in the grey bobbin PUs including all original pots and wiring, so the bass is in original condition again except for a set of Schaller security end pins. The sound of this bass is rich, the heavy body with maple neck gives a lot of high end together with a solid fat tone. A perfect weapon for studio work! It weighs more than 5 kg, typical for the late 70´s Fender ash bodys. I´m located in Berlin, Germany. Pickup is welcome, shipping is possible to the expense of the buyer. No trades please.
  11. Thanks, Mick! :-) Yes, these are as good as the new Euro Spectors. Anyway, I lowered the price: It´s GBP 600 / EUR 685 now.
  12. The price is GBP 500 / EUR 567,- Today, a new EURO LX sets you back £1,630,66 at Thomann. Here´s the alternative: The Spector NS-2A was made in Korea from the late 80´s to the early 90´s when the company was owned by Kramer. The Kramer models were constructed like the classic US-made NS2 with all-maple wings rather than the more recent Euros which have a laminate of walnut in them. The serial engraved on the electrics cover is NS8391. The previous owner said it´s from 1991, but I can´t verify that as I didn´t found enough info on the web. The bass has seen a lot of playing and gigging, the condition is definitely used, but everything including electrics and trussrod works fine. The frets are in very good condition. The rare translucent blueish finish is in good condition, there are no deep scratches. There´s a small spot above each pickup where the thumb rests, the finish is worn off there. It´s a great playing bass. Despite the fact that it´s made from maple the weight is only 3,8kg, it´s perfectly balanced, and the sound is typical Spector. I´m located in Berlin, Germany. Shipping is possible to the expense of the buyer. No trades please.
  13. Hi Kev, sure, these will fit in all basses that have the classic Jazz Bass PU configuration. Thanks, Niels
  14. GBP 100 / EUR 110 plus shipping. These worked for about 30 years in a 70´s Jazz Bass. The pickups are passive and can be used even without the electronics. They are prewired for regular monophonic use. All of this fits into a Jazz Bass, there´s enough room for the 9V battery under the pots. The pickups show the usual marks from the strings. I´m located in Berlin, international shipping is no problem.
  15. Ok, thanks cetera... I was hoping for more though. :-)
  16. From all Yamaha BBs I like the simple BB300 the most. I had a few of them, just picked up a 86 Made in Taiwan in black. The quality is the same as the Made In Japan ones, they are a good and cheap alternative to the classic Precision. I wish I could find an early BB800, they are about the same but have a nice black pickguard and were made from 1977 on.
  17. Hi there, I have an old Spector NS-2A which should be from the Kramer Korean made era. The serial is engraved on the electric´s plastic cover: NS 8391 I haven´t found any info on the net regarding the exact dating by serial numbers on these basses. Maybe someone can help? Thanks!
